This sweeping field runs down to the south west coast path with a style at the bottom corner as access and a path that bisects it diagonally from the adjacent field. The grass is soft and the view excellent so a great spot for a picnic or sunrise. It looks across to the commons plantation and is to the east- hence the name. Stinging nettles spring up around the margins so be careful with children.
