We visited at the end of September so it was less busy than in the summer. We hadn't been on the cliff railway for years so we're very excited, and we weren't disappointed. Can also highly recommend the Railway cafe located just before you get to the railway. Excellent menu, lovely food ,and reasonably priced. Very friendly staff too.
Highly recommended if you’re in the area, both for the railway and for the lovely dog friendly beach at the bottom. There are great walks along the beach and along the cliff top promenade, with great views and lots of wildlife, including the occasional seal! The railway staff were extremely friendly and chatty, making for a great experience…a new favourite place to visit
+ It was a short ride but we used it as a shortcut to get back up the hill. The ride was fine and it was great experience.nn- Some of the staff really enjoyed working with tourists, others had a bad day and were not so friendly.nn! You can only pay for a ticket on top of the ride. But you're allowed to go up and then make your payment. It's only £2 - £3 per person.
Love to visit a funicular railway speaking to lovely staff too the views stunning
Exquisite views from this beautiful coastal beach. The calm ride down on the Babbacombe Cliff railway to enjoy a calm relaxing stay on the beach front. Whether you want to take a dip or go for a walk along the coast, this is an unmissable experience at Babbacombe Beach
