The Fenn Bell Inn serves food & drink & will have lots of animals in the grounds. Work has started so come & see what we're doing.

Story

The Fenn Bell inn is a pub that is also home to the Fenn Bell Conservation Project for rescued animals which holds a full zoo licence and if that was not unique enough we also have our own 7 1/4" miniature railway running around the 3 acre garden. We are located in St Mary Hoo, Rochester on the Isle of Grain.

As well as serving great beers and wines the Fenn Bell also offers a delicious home cooked food menu.

Outside we are developing a large seating area which will offer fantastic views of our very own zoo and miniature railway.

The zoo includes many types of monkeys, parrots, pigs, racoon dogs, genets, ponies, owls, birds of prey, lemurs, meerkats and much more. Best of all the garden and zoo can be enjoyed free of charge as long as you are purchasing drinks or food from the pub. The miniature railway is £2 per person per ride.

We look forward to welcoming you to the most unique pub in the UK if not the world!

A lovely little pub with an amazing addition of a small conservation centre in the garden. Sunday roast here was a reasonable price for both adults and kids. We were unable to book but turned up at 12pm and were able to be seated outside. After the meal, being able to go and visit the Lemurs, Meerkats and other aninals within the conservation project was really nice. Under 5s were free and only £2 per adult. The work that has gone into the centre looks amazing and will be visiting again to see how the new enclosures have come along. Well worth the visit.

Great idea to have a pub with a zoo. Great for kids and excellent idea to have a meal and then go into the zoo. Will definitely be going again!

When food came for my son it was luke warm also when we asked for things like sandwiches or baguettes we were told they were only serving roast dinners, however other people were getting baguettes but many others were being singled out. Very poor service and completely unprepared to deal with orders over half of the menu was not being served. The small animal reserve was very good and good price for what it was. Just the food was unacceptable.

Absolutely a cracking place to visit. The staff are brilliant and knowledgeable about the animals. Lovely place to walk around and the food is well priced and lovely.

Really nice. Not many other pubs with a little zoo in the garden. Food was nice and good price.
