Recently refurbished, this place seems to have kept it's warm, friendly pub vibe (except for its use of corny "inspirational" quotes for decor). The menu online differed from the actual menu. Unfortunately, the restaurant version had less traditional British pub fare to choose from, but we we're still very happy with our Mince and Dumplings and Bangers and Mash (which they very kindly made for us despite it not being on the restaurant version of the menu). The food was very fresh and had a comforting, homemade quality to it. The service was exceptionally friendly and helpful!

Food and atmosphere lovely ....... only give 4 stars as waited quite a while for food however it was fresh and hot so did not mind too much...enjoyable lunch time experience 😁

Great menu choices, delicious food served by friendly, helpful staff in nice surroundings. Very good value and very good all round dining experience.

Given that other pubs quite close to the Fellsider are closed decided to have a drink here. Offers three real ales but tonight only one very strong real available. When I asked why was told that they had no control of deliveries and as these two replacement ales had only arrived today they were “settling”. Given this was a Friday night and the start of a busy weekend period this seemed a ridiculous state of affairs. The manager seemed to be blaming the brewery for having no control to alert them of the need for urgent deliveries!!
