Always a pleasure to visit The Fat Cat. Reasonably priced, HUGE selection of ales/cider/beer etc., plenty of seats, great atmosphere, some big tables for board games, and the staff are amazing.
Possibly the best place to drink in the UK. 20 real ales on when I was there. Reasonably priced and well kept. Hooks to hang coats and bags.
A real beer-drinker’s pub. A wide range of beer available - around ten real ale taps on, including four Fat Cat beers and five or six guest ale, as well as kegs and bottled beers. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the pub was packed! Would recommend to anyone who enjoys real ale
By far the best pub in Norwich! Great selection of drinks although could do with some elderflower and such knowledgeable and lovely staff! Can’t wait to come back here again! Be warned…you won’t want to leave when you get there!! Well done Fat Cat!
Excellent Excellent pub with a great range of their winded brewed beers and others besides. Great bar staff too
Lovely pub, friendly staff - no disabled or gender neutral toilets sadly. As someone who needs both, it means I can't really come here often : Besides that, great selection of beers, and the partnership with Harry's down the road means some great food too.
The Fat Cat is a staple of visitors who come here to see Norwich Castle, the Norfolk Broads and the cobbled streets of the Old sector. The pub itself is not the biggest in capacity, but does boast the widest, in my own opinion range of Ales and Ciders you will need. Very chic and a lot of the younger people have happily caught on to this. Staff as usual will always indulge you if you don't know what you want. If you give a preference, they will have an answer, but i know they are not staffed by raging booze heads! . I do recommend throughly a visit to this establishment. They have Harry's Soul Station serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Wednesday to Sunday, this needs to be part of the Norwich Experience!! Trust me! I would love to give a criticism about this pub, and maybe the Yarmouth Road branch doest have the atmosphere of the original, but well worth a visit.
Mind blowingly GOOD PUB in a fairly run down low rent part of Norwich - You won't find a better Pub than this one anywhere in the U.K - I've been going inside Pubs since the 1970's & upon entering this Pub it literally blew me away as to just how wonderful the vast beer selection was - mindblowing - never seen so many ales on tap - Not remotely surprised that the Beer nerds at 'CAMRA' Campaign for Real Ale gives this Pub such high acolades - Just a crying shame it's about 45+ miles away from me & in such an awkward & ugly part of Norwich - We chanced upon it by pure luck - Please DO give it a try & regularly because SO MANY PUBS are closing in the U.K - this one deserves maximum support & truly is a shining diamond in an otherwise dying industry.... Wetherspoons excepted - P.S, I have zero affiliation with this Pub - Just a rare visiting or 'passing thru' customer here who reasoned that this Pub deserves attention
I had a roast today and they were so accommodating! I’m 7 months pregnant and was so sad to not be allowed the cauliflower cheese contained blue cheese! and they made me a Cheddar cheese portion which was absolutely delicious. The entire meal was stunning, staff were friendly and service was quick. Will definitely be back!
Best Pub in Norwich. Large selection of their own beers and many other beers that we know and love. Not for tickers.. Just a shame they shut at 10 on Sundays.
