Nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire moors this quintessentially English pub offers a warm welcome retreat! Step outside and you will be walking in the footsteps of James Herriot! as scenes from All Creatures great And Small were filmed on the doorstep of this pretty little pub. Hearty food and real ales await you and all at a very reasonable price. If you fancy a pint and a plate of chunky chips beside a roaring real fire with a smattering of intriguing wall art in the heart of the dales! Then The Falcon will not disappoint.
After a walk with friends we were excited to see the door open at The Falcon. As we considered taking our boots off - odd policy for a country pub - a guy came out and said he was just about to close!!! At 4pm on a bank holiday??? We went up the road to Linton where the pub was closing for a winter break so beer was half price! Result
What a peaceful little village the pub was closed so sadly didn't get to see inside, the church is so well kept
Beautiful pub in a gorgeous location. We had a drink and sandwiches & fries. The menu was small but food excellent. The only issue was no paper towels in the ladies loos but this didnt spoil the visit. We will come again. We didnt try the rooms but we will soon!
A proper pub with proper beer straight from the keg. Arncliff couldn't be a prettier village, so a perfect place to a joy a pint on the village green... Ps my wife thinks they make a nice cup of tea! Walkability: Great for walks down the Warfe but the tops offer staggering views
Lovely quaint quiet little pub - definitely one to check out if you are passing.Hotel highlightsQuiet
Had a great time staying two nights. Food was fantastic and beds were comfy. Loved the rustic old time ambience. Was anxious about staying after seeing the other reviews but we had a lovely time. Arncliffe itself is wonderfully quiet and remote with lots of great walking nearby. Bring your own toiletries and we had a young child with us so brought our own bedding/snacks etc for him. Would definitely visit again.
Gorgeous old pub. Immaculately kept and so many interesting historical ornaments/antiques. Breakfast was amazing as was the beer and company in the evening. Fires lit from early morning. Lovely helpful staff. Will definitely be back again. Thank youRooms: 4/5
2 to 3 days notice to provide a vegetarian option?? I'll leave that with you. Friendly bar staff a bit embarrassed by the shortcomings of menu. Beer excellent. Eclectic and rather beautiful building. Will be drinking there and eating down the road.Service: 2/5
Tiny snug and Bar but open when others are shut, due to the residential status I think. Friendly Lad behind the bar. Still serves cask ale by jug if you want it .. unique!Rooms: 4/5
