Good value for money but needs improvements in a few areas. While the room decor is dated and would benefit from a refurbishment, the room was a decent size and very clean. My only complaint was the heating being on a timer - when it's 3 degrees outside, I don't want to wait for the heating to come on! We were given a portable oil heater however which it did the job. When all is said and done, the hotel is in a good location with regular buses into the city, staff were friendly and obliging, a fairly decent breakfast was included in the price which was less than £50.

Excellent value for money. Yes the place looks a bit dated but really can't complain for the price. Bed was extremely comfy and breakfast was good quality.

Great value for money...stayed here for a night out in Manchester, taxi not too expensive from here. Breakfast included and was lovely. Sauna, gym and Jacuzzi included for free as well.

I stayed here at the beginning of this month (November) with my partner. On arrival, all heaters were off, and throughout our stay was only turned on at night, which left the room freezing through the day and early evening. We spent our second day to have a look around the area, returned in the afternoon. The domestic staff hadn't even bothered to replace our toilet roll even though we'd completely run out, so we spent the rest of our stay taking toilet roll from the reception bathroom. After taking a shower, I placed a towel on the radiator and all this black gunk fell from it, which I definitely wasn't going to touch. The walls were paper thin and we were constantly speaking in hushed tones so we wouldn't 'disturb' anyone with our normal indoor voices. The only positive thing I have to say about this place is the food. I had a couple of meals and every single one was just delicious. I know it was a budget hotel, but I expected more and was disappointed. I'd happily visit again for a good meal, but not to stay overnight.
