Arrived cold and hungry to two women brawling at the entrance as I got out of the taxi. On a Monday evening at 20:00!nnA dozen drunks screeching, swearing and arguing in the bar mostly women. I don’t think food was available but I’d kind of lost my appetite by this point anyway. Who wants to have dinner in that atmosphere? Also the bar and reception area was freezing. The room was basic but had everything I needed, although a power outlet closer to the bed would’ve been better. In terms of sleep quality, the walls are paper thin. I was woken at 02:30 by the drunk in the next room putting the tv on full blast, where it remained the rest of the night, so almost no sleep. Tried to sleep later in the morning but could hear every word of Sarah in the adjoining room’s business calls.nnBreakfast was great and the chef was lovely.
Came here to visit on the 17th February for the day! Someone in the hotel had an issue with the gym manager Phil. I had explained to him that he needs to apologise to Phil. Phil spoke to me rudely when I haven’t done anything and told me not to enter the gym either. He had behaved with me in a disgusting manor when all I was doing was trying to resolve a situation that wasn’t even created by me. I had asked him why he was stopping me to enter the gym. He had then said because I got involved by getting the other person to apologise to him. I feel like this was also a racist regard and I am fully disgusted by this behaviour from Phil.nnI am unhappy with this and I would not recommend this place to stay.
I arrived late due to a long drive so around 12am but phoned to let them know that, was told it's 24hr reception.nGood size carparknQuick check in but no info given.nI've stayed here about 10 years ago and unfortunately it's definitely not had any love since then. The room was a good size but looked very worn I mean it was clean as best as possible. The shower room was also a good size again very dated and looking a sorry sight.nA ceiling tile was open as shown in the video!nBed wasn't the best, very thin mattress with springs.nShower was very fable lacking pressure.nDidn't test wifinBreakfast not included unsure about adding itnIt's a cheap hotel! So to be expected really.nHas a spa and leisure center but didn't use it.nAlso a pub restaurant.nProbably wouldn't stay again as there are better hotels closer by.nUnless it's had a good makeover in the future!!!
Nice quiet location just a few minutes walk from a choice of shops and restaurants. Greeted by friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are a little outdated and could do with a refurb, but for £50 for the night, I can't complain. Large car park and free parking
I recently attended a wedding. Staff were very pleasant. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Great service and a lovely venue.
