Booked on short notice through internet a double room for 2 nights with kosher breakfast at the location we wanted. We got what could be expected from the price of the room €74/night in this 2-star hotel: simple kosher breakfast with no extra’s like you would eat at home, shower cabin too small, hardly able to turn, no elevator. But to our surprise we were charged on our booking confirmation an extra €93 ! for tax recovery charges and service fees. Upon our request at arrival for more explanation about these costs we were only told these inevitable costs were fluctuating and that the hotel owner/manager would contact us to explain more. We never heard from him.nIn the end this hotel turned out an expensive 2-star rated hotel…
What a cracking little place. Only had two nights here but a lovely inexpensive place. No food available here apart from a very basic breakfast but a good location for exploring Manchester. Beds were comfy and the shower was decent
We have stayed at the Hazeldean twice now. The location is extremely convenient, the staff are lovely and literally no task is too inconvenient. The last time we stayed, our child was physically sick, and the beds needed changing multiple times. Not only did the staff help us with a smile but the owner went out and bought us a thermometer on his own dime. Everyone was extremely kind and understanding. We could not be more grateful.
Excellent location, very clean and large rooms, we booked for our family 2 suites, we got massive 3 bedrooms &2 bedrooms suites .nThe staff was so warm and welcoming,we arrived late at night the guy was absolutely nice and kind and was ready to help with everything we might need.nIt was really nice experience. lots of beds and space for all the kids.nThe breakfast was wonderful. Self service with many goodies packed in cute sweet personal portions, the kids really loved it...nI really recommend this place for large families
Just had an amazing stay at the Hazeldean. Couldn’t fault it. We’re Jewish and stayed over Shabbat, and we were so happy with the facilities - Shabbos lamps in the rooms, candles laid out for Friday night candle lighting, keys instead of electric fobs. Would definitely stay here again.
