My wife daughter and I stayed at the Stockport Holiday Inn for one night on 1May 2024 prior to leaving the UK, I had stayed previously. The hotel is located at the entrance to Stockport Railway Station, the center of Manchester is seven minutes by train, the airport approximately fifteen minutes by road and easy bus connections. We were welcomed by friendly staff, who were eager to please and helpful at all levels. We stayed in a family room, that was modern, spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the hotel, comfortable and despite the location very quiet. The hotel offers a range of food and beverages and an excellent breakfast. For us as a family an excellent and convenient place to stay.
For the night before Liverpool match, all hotels in Liverpool and Manchester were fully booked / too expensive so instead I stayed at this hotel and what a wise choice it was! It's right in front of Stockport station, room is clean and comfortable, breakfast is wonderful, check out is 11am, room rate reasonable. And there's direct train from Stockport to Liverpool which takes only an hour, and as you can board it before Manchester Piccadilly where it gets over crowded which enables you to find a seat. All in all, fully recommend.
Great service and rooms. The only downside was parking, you have to use the NCP car park. If the hotel had a preferential rate with NCP this hotel would be perfect. I am Coeliac and the staff could not have been more helpful at breakfast. The food was very good.Rooms: 5/5
Great stay in proximity to the train station and the location of my event , nice buffet Breakfast choice of QSR and pubs around , close to the leisure world so you can have a nice swim and gym center at close proximity .key card entry to access room area Rooms: They have different categories and sizes , they also have an early check out time of 11Am Nearby activities: Pub, gym, swimming pool, town center Safety: Key card entry Food & drinks: Nice breakfast buffet and has 4 coffee machines so no long queues for tea or coffee service . The buffet attendant was on top of replenishing the food items
Very handy location for access to the town centre and close to the airport we paid around £15 in an Uber to the airport. Only a 2 minute walk from the train station. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. The room itself was very small, even for a budget hotel. It was also quite tatty scuffed walls, marked carpets. The bed was pretty uncomfortable and it wasn't a great night's sleep. Breakfast was included, and was simple but tasty enough. The usual hot options were available, plus some cereal/breads. It was buffet style in the hotel's main cafe/lobby area. The coffee machine was slow and a queue quickly built at peak times. Obtaining a late check out was a battle despite the hotel having lots of availability online. It's worth signing up to IHG Rewards, as this will often allow you a late check out.
Just called in for a coffee and brandy Very disappointed with the coffee in a paper cup brandy in a water glass . very basic dining room.service was good but only 4 people in. Very handy for the railway station, just across the road.plenty of taxis available. Handy public leisure centre near by
We used this as a stopping of point on our way to the Peak District. At £75 per night, this hotel/motel met and exceeded expectations. Cosy, clean room. Nice bathroom. Breakfast was far better than we expected for this kind of hotel. Not relevant to us, but a nice central location if you are visiting the town. Right next to the station. Nearby NCP parking £14 per 24/7
Very nice and welcoming hotel. Rooms getting 4stars as they are suitable for 3people sleep not 4. But this is might be agencies with which we travel error. Food & drinks: Breakfast amazing always fresh and tasty.
Outside of the train station, the location is perfect. Josh, Ellie and Megan where perfect hosts this evening. from being checked in, food served and drink delivered.Rooms: 5/5
