We had a very comfortable, well equipped room with ample Tea and coffee and biscuits available. Large TV with an excellent bathroom and walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. Staff were very friendly and very helpful Andrea on reception was welcoming and efficient. The hotel is in a very peaceful, tranquil location it is a very old, listed building with character. Thank you to Scott the General Manager who gave us a tour of the night club which is undergoing a major refurb and uplift. A fantastic, atmospheric, period venue perfect for any occasion. We will definitely be returning when the hotel upgrades are completed in the summer. Rooms: Our bedroom was very comfortable and spacious, with a great bed and a relaxing nights sleep. The hotel has a stylish, contemporary feel with some great artwork. We had a really nice stay. Food & drinks: We had breakfast which was very good, food was good quality, hot, and had everything you could want including fruit, cereals and continental option. Bacon and sausages were tasty. The breakfast manager was friendly and helpful.
Lovely clean room, with very comfy bed, and bedding. I even had a balcony overlooking a river. Room 247. The staff I met were mostly new, but very enthusiastic. Reception were struggling with a new system, but nothing was too much trouble. Bar staff were again new, and very young, but did an excellent job with great attitude. I was at a function in the hotel and arrived late afternoon. I wasn't hungry so I didn't eat at the hotel. I even skipped breakfast so I can't comment on the food. However everybody I saw eating appeared to be enjoying it. I have stayed here many times over the last thirty odd years, each time different. Some great memories here, and I hope to enjoy more in the future. Rooms: Excellent room with balcony and view over river Safety: Felt safe throughout the stay Food & drinks: Although I didn't try the food on this occasion, there was a good choice. The prices for both food, and the bar, were very competitive.
The rooms are clean tidy and comfortable. However the passage ways and other areas could do with a refresh. Dirty walls in the passage, loose door handles and dirty carpets are not a nice first impression. The long term guests are noisy and had to contend with the noise while trying to sleep. Food is relatively good but pricey. Overall not bad and I guess worth the price all things considered.
We had a lovely time myself and my daughter. A beautiful place, well decorated for Christmas. We enjoyed it so much together. A real treat, we didn’t arrive til very late and they were most helpful. Beware of the SatNav! It took us to a housing estate !
We went to Bredbury Hall for a wedding and had a triple room for the night. The room was lovely, very clean and bright, and good value including a decent breakfast the morning after. Considering the hotel is in the middle of Stockport, it felt very rural and picturesque, and the outside area was stunning. The barn was lovely, we did go to the hotel bar for drinks because we wanted draft beers, but James the bar manager was very helpful and accommodating, and all staff were friendly and nice. Expensive drinks though! We wanted to book a room in June but were told we would need to stay for two nights which we don't need, so gutted about that! We loved staying and would have loved to have booked in again.
The location was great. It felt tucked away in the midst of a bustling city, the staff was amazing. The room was really nice but the mattresses were so hard. Never slept on a mattress like that before.Rooms: 4/5
Hotel being used to house refugee asylum seeker's. Would be nice if they made me aware first. They had security all over the hotel that made it very uneasy to walk around and feel compatible. Loud banging noises till nearly 12pm so very little sleep. I stayed on the single bed and not the double because the blanket on the double bed had green stains on it. On a plus side the staff where friendly at the main desk and the food was OK.
A decent hotel in a lovely setting. The rooms are good, it has decent WiFi and plenty of parking. Food is good enough with a limited menu but enough choice to find something you'll like. My check in experience was a bit underwhelming and the staff member seemed very flustered although I did arrive at 11.30pm so maybe not what they were expecting Overall it was good with nice facilities. Would I stay again? - yes. Recommended for business travel to the area.
