Nice little site. We needed a couple of spares on a Sunday and found this site that's not far away that was open. We arrived and found a fairly well stocked shop. They had the parts we needed and were very helpful. Ended up buying a few extra bits whilst we were there rather than using the big online companies, prefer to support the local businesses where we can. Thanks for all your help and advise we managed to fix our problem.
I purchased a new Baily Caravan from here in 2021, it was at a time when there were restrictions in travel and so things were granenerally complicated, however Popes made it easy and stressfree, there was no hard sell, while I heard about other distributers having all sorts of issues with supply, we ordered ours and got it ontime. Now 2 years later the Van has just been for its second annual warranty service and just like the first I booked it in, they serviced it I picked it up the following weekend, no drama, no sell to say I needed this or that on top of the service, they replaced a window blind because it was faulty under warranty, all brilliant, however what prompted me to write this review was that as well as doing the blind, without me even telling them, my wife had broken the catch on another blind and they replaced the catch, they also adjusted the bathroom door which was catching. All without me telling them and without them making a big deal about it. I will definately be recommending them to anyone who is interetested, decent, honest, reliable service from Popes, so much better than my local caravan dealer who I don't bother with any more, I would rather travel the 40 or so miles to Pope and give them my business. We went to Popes Caravans when we wanted to update our caravan, as it is local to our storage facility and after previous experience wanted to go with someone we can get to easily if something goes wrong. It has definitely been the right thing to do. They supplied us with a lovely preloved caravan, and few minor issues we found were fixed with no hassle. With Popes you get a friendly chat, good communication and excellent customer service - nothing is ever too much of a trouble. Their service department does excellent job and they don't make mess of your van. Wholeheartedly recommended.
I am a first time buyer of a caravan and have to say that the service from Popes was excellent.They were so helpful and informative . I drove down from Durham to view the caravan and even though they had 3 offers on the caravan before I could get to view they were as good to their word and gave me first refusal. Once I bought it I could not get any storage and they also helped me with this as well. Thank you Popes.
Have only dealt with Popes for a short time, but so far the service has been exemplary and far exceeded my expectations.. Chris was great when we were buying our new 'van, and Graham has been exceptional in fixing an issue with it in record breaking time.. I hope I don't see them again more than once a year i.e. for the annual service but dealings to date have been brilliant. And have made our friends who bought a new caravan from a certain place in Rushden last year and have had no end of issues wish they'd gone to Popes instead!.
Lovely staff that can’t do enough for you!
Just bought our second can from Popes. This time we bought a new one! Chris Pope was extremely helpful and explained all of the vans we looked at clearly and thoroughly. He had a lot of time for us and we didn't feel rushed or pushed into anything. Great service!
Dreadful man at this location who bellowed at me "no dogs allowed and it does say so on a sign on the way in!" I saw just one large sign saying no toilets and on the way out after he lost my custom I found no such sign that I could see anywhere! Clearly not an animal lover and very rude as the dog was outside and not inside anything at all. Large built white / grey haired man who must have been the owner so one to avoid and his loss of business for he items I went to go and buy Interesting how MrPope talks about his sign which clearly not that visible when other caravan locations are more than dog friendly. But do not worry I will never set foot in your place again! You missed the main point which was not that I missed your sign however big or small but they way in which I was spoken to about it and that is fact and also my opinion that you need better customer skills to keep customers happy or they will and can give you the reviews you deserve. Don't bother going folks if you are in need of toilets either as you will also not be welcome to use the loo. That sign is VERY clear!!! I also note no apology over a member of your staff talking to me in that way leaving me to the only conclusion I can have which is only the owner would feel brave enough to talk how he likes to people without fear of being sacked, and hat was my instinct at the time and even more so now I have seen your response, great service Mr Pope you just keep kidding yourself. I did go and buy my small fortune of gear from another location which incidentally even said the dog was fine in the shop too and they all made a big fuss of him as people always tend to do. It's your loss not mine so hopefully you will learn not to speak to people that way and dread to think how your staff are spoken to at that place. You are entitled to have a no dog policy as that is your choice and I always respect that! I did walk past staff who did not say a thing to me about it and as I have stated its the way I was spoken to about the issue. Try saying "I'm sorry sir we do not allow dogs on the property" and you might have resolved the issues. My comments are more than fair and just due to these facts.
Great service. Caravan ready on time after its annual service. Friendly, courteous staff. Not my local dealer but well worth the extra drive.
Graham and Chris are honest reliable people and run a great business. Secure storeage and great caravan servicing plusnew caravan sales. Fair part ex prices as well. Thanks to the Pope family.
