Story

The airport is five miles from the city of Exeter and is situated adjacent to the A30, close to junction 29 of the M5 motorway.

Exeter Airport is operated by Exeter and Devon Airport Limited (EDAL) which is owned by Patriot Aerospace, part of the Rigby Group. Within Patriot Aerospace, Regional and City Airport Management is responsible for the operation of the group's airport interests. The Rigby Group announced their acquisition of Exeter Airport on 26 June 2013 from Balfour Beatty, who were the owners following the sale of the airport by Devon County Council in January 2007.

The Management Team, together with over 250 members of staff, oversee the daily running of the airport.

EXT is Exeter Airport's IATA (International Air Transport Association) code. The IATA code is used for airline timetables, reservations, and baggage tags.

EGTE is Exeter Airport's ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) code. The ICAO code is used by pilots, air traffic control and flight-tracking services.

It's small but perfectly formed. It has plenty of seating, adequate toilet facilities, and a decent sized car park. Inside there are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat or a coffee/tea, plus a not insubstantial duty free section.

Where my health & my life was and still is from xmas 2017. Pneumonia from this trip to Holland. Cabin air or compressor air from oily engines, plus less co2 to my body. I can't get well from this trip and it's now March 2018. I can't do nothing with my life and i'm now house bound. My health is ruined completely.

It’s a great little airport! The staff are very friendly, and — unexpectedly — the security staff can be hilarious. One time I was passing through, the X-ray machines for the hold luggage were broken, so bags had to be opened and rifled through. The staff were friendly, apologetic, and had a very warm chat while I was held up. What more can you ask for? Exeter Airport only misses out on a perfect five stars because the public transport links are horrible. I had to wait hours for a bus home — and that’s when I’ve been lucky enough to arrive early enough in the day to catch the last bus! They stop running very early, and then you’re stuck with an expensive taxi ride home. If only the public transport links were better, then this place would be perfect.

Parking is indeed difficult but easier than most airports I have visited in the past. There are a number of car parks available. Departure lounge, staff, facilities and check-in are all very good. Airport is always clean and tidy, information is related well.

Great to have a local airport but seriously, the cafe needs to sort it's stuff out. It's hilariously awful. Check out my warmed croissant. It started its life like the one in the background. Also the drop off system is poop.
