We used to park here a couple of years ago and it was fine. Went back and it was dark, covered in graffiti and smelt strongly of urine. By far the worst carpark I've been to in a long while. It feels like the council have abandoned it. I won't be going back. On the plus side, if you're location scouting for a dystopian movie, this might be what you're looking for.
It's in a convenient location and so far I haven't had any problems finding a parking space. You pay to park either using one of the machines, or via ringgo using the location code. As a single woman, it doesn't feel safe, for me or my car, but so far I've not actually had any issues during the day.nnMy biggest problem with this car park is how tight the turns are, from the bend leading into the carpark itself, to the curbs on all the corners to turn up/down through the levels and again to turn out to leave; it's VERY easy to hit the curbs on a turn, even when you're being careful.nThe other major issue, although probably quite a common one in other carparks too, is how badly you lose signal in there - it takes ages to pick up signal again, so setting up Maps to navigate your way to your next destination is impossible until you're properly back on the road, where its dangerous to fiddle with Maps and also potentially having already taken a wrong turn somewhere.nnLastly, as others have said, it always smells of pee - on my previous visit, there was even fresh pee still visibly wet in the stairwell on my way back to the car.
Foul smelling, graffiti on walls, difficult to move up and down floors to narrow, shouldn’t allow SUV’s and vans, urine smell on circular stair case, couldn’t use Ringo App had to pay with coins. Don’t use it - Devon CC you should be ashamed!
Entrance and exits are very narrow, take your time. Great location for spending time on the Quayside for shopping and eating. It's felt a bit dodgy leaving my car there but it was fine.
Cathedral & quay car park. It’s like a hidden parking but good location if you are planning to visit the city centre with your car then this is the parking spot. the price is not bad. The road are small not a problem unless you have big or very long car or a labo it won’t fit. if you own a 7 seat car it’s ok. Don’t expect a brand new building, this one is old and I noticed some stairs smells. But it looks safe for me, there are many cars that parked here and it is very close to the river where you can ride a boat and a walking distance to Princesshay shopping mall and Exeter Cathedral. You can pay cash or an app.Ringo Sometimes the app was slow but I managed to pay via app. I parked in level 3 near the ticket area where the stairwell is located. when I came out through the stairs there’s a ally way which leads you to the amenities, custom house and river.
