Went in for a professional bike fit a few days before a 102mile sportive ride. Lee was very professional, helpful and set up my bike perfectly ready for the ride. With only minor adjustments the bike felt much better on the road and my task of finishing the ride was much easier. Throughout the process I received great advice and although Lee made some suggestions about how new kit or narrower bars could improve my ride comfort he never tried to pressure sell me any items so my visit to Evans only cost me the original agreed price. Highly recommended Thank you.
I was there a week ago for advice about my custom build norco torrent and I end up speaking with the gm he was very helpful spotted the problem immediately and gave me the right solution for me. Thank you very much i will be definitely coming back
First of all i want to say that gemma was superb as we managed to gather everything that I wanted along with more !! Gemma is a fantastic listener especially when we sat in the queue for a good 30 minutes + trying to speak to IT. In the end it turned out the £30 accessories goes through as bike repairs who knew .As an added bonus I was able to take the now seems to be discontinued clipless pedals - the ones I originally wanted far better and 15 quid cheaper. It seems this store does everything they possibly can to ensure their customer leaves satisfied so thank you once more. Only done a small ride but this is definitely a new experience with clipless and a drop bar gravel bike.
Went into the store today to make enquiries about purchasing a winter road bike. Hung around for 15 minutes, no staff insight. Left unimpressed

Being new to mountain biking I decided to purchase my bike from Evans cycles believing they would be reputable and the bike would be reliable. The staff were friendly and very helpful they helped to advise me on my new bike. The bike was good on tarmac paths. I decided to take it away from the park on to some "easy" mountain bike trails, however it was not put together correctly, and parts failed, I fell off and I was hurt quite bad. I called up to report the problem and arranged a time to get the problem fixed. I arrived at the store, but no time had been allocated to fix faulty parts. I was annoyed, I had took time out of my day, but understood the store was busy. Returning one weeks later the gentlemen serving me said I would have to pay to get the parts fixed. Which is disappointing considering it was a new mountain that was hardly used broke upon first use on a trail. The bike did get fixed, not by Evans cycles but by a small independent bike shop. would I would highly recommend.
Under a week since I ordered my bike, all fitted and ready to use. Staff were excellent and all my questions were answered. Accessories stock was good. Just brilliant service. Arrived late on a Friday afternoon and they didn’t complain even though we took up two hours of their time. Big thanks to Sean and Luke. Can’t recommend enough!
Fantastic service from knowledge staff. Store Manager Sean was particularly helpful and sorted out bikes for myself, my partner and daughter. All great quality at a reasonable price and all fit well. No pushy sales tactics just a desire to make sure we had the right bike for us. Store also felt very covid secure with good one way system, limited numbers in store, all staff wearing PPE and single customer at a time upstairs to look at new bikes. Highly recommend if you are looking for a new bike.
Many people have had a good experience purchasing their bike from Evans Cycles however I cannot say the same and I would advise to use with caution. I purchased a bike from Evans cycles, at first I was happy with the bike, taking it out a few times I began noticed that it was faulty, when I would peddel occasionally the gears would slip causing my knee hit off the bikes forks, this was very painful causing me to bleed and bruise. I called Evans cycles up to arrange fixing of the bike, I booked in and travelled the two hour round trip to find out that no booking had been made and that I was unable to leave my bike to be fixed, the gentleman who served me was arrogant and not helpful, he did however rebook my bike in for two weeks later. After two weeks I returned traveling two hours to the store, for my bike to be "fixed" with in minutes. I took the bike out and the issue was still there. I called up to arrange my bike to be fixed again however I was advised that the bike was out of the 6 week services so I would have to pay for the issue to be fixed. After paying full price for a faulty bike I can say I am not happy and would not recommend.
Had bike booked in for brakes and minor service. Team super friendly and honest Josh and Harry said the work I was expecting didn't need doing, but did a really good job on what did. Nice to know there is a reliable and honest service out there. Rest of store team friendly and pleasant. Will only be using these guys again after poor service in other bike shops.
