Took my sons bike in to have a wheel replaced. It took three of the engineers 45 minutes to book the bike in for a "15 minute parts and service" , which they were too busy to do until the following week. It seems counterproductive to have the engineers too busy to fix bikes due to having to operate the "impossible booking system". When we picked the bike up, the brakes had not been attached correctly and the gears now slip. Took the bike back in and I was told "it works ok on the stand", so I asked that they try it on the ground, and the faults were confirmed. They requested that I book another appointment with them to have it fixed. Given that the bike is now in a more dangerous state than when they started, I think I'll cut my losses and try elsewhere.

went in today Sunday 25th to book a service on my new Cannondale Slate a quite expensive bike, I also wanted a 11/32 rear cassette fitted and a extended mech to make it work both Ultegra R8000 about £120 worth of components. the bikes first service supposedly comes free and fitting the mech etc. is about 30 mins works including fitting an easylink. You would of thought I was asking them to build a nuclear reactor!! ended up by saying I could buy the parts from Wiggle and do it myself in 30 mins when I got the response "everyones a winner then" third bike I have bought from Evans and countless parts and kit - NEVER AGAIN!!

Called the brunch on a busy Sunday at 2pm for stock of a bike which reading had informed me they had. the bike was built and made ready for me to purchase by 16:30 the same day which aloud me to enjoy the sun. The place was flat out with other customers but nothing seemed to much trouble. very pleased with the bike and would highly recommend Jordon at the branch.

Went in to buy a bike for my youngest son, waited around near the cycles for ages , no staff upstairs to serve or give advice. When someone eventually did emerge from the back they dealt with the nearest person who had only just arrived, at that point gave up and will not be returning

Appalling service, bike went in for a service; came out unsafe - I could move the handlebars with the the wheel between my knees making them misaligned! The mudguards they put on the bike also rub against the whee on my Brompton
