Came in to buy some boots because this was the only store close by that sell them. Wouldn't have bothered if they sold them anywhere else. Sales lady was incredibly rude and made you feel like you were a burden asking any question. I hope she has a Merry Christmas so she can provide better customer service.
Shop here if you want to feel unwelcome and a burden when you enquire about anything! The attitude of the sales lady is not what you should be getting when purchasing boots well over £100. Please train your staff better. Would not recommend this store.
Went in to get my toddler fitted for her first pair of shoes. Sales lady could not have been nicer and was very helpful. Will be going back.
I found the sales ladies very helpful; welcoming, cheerful and chatty - and couldn't do enough to help me with finding just the right boots for me.
Staff are always lovely when I go in and go out of their way to order you in a pair if they don't have your size. Great to shop local!
This store should be avoided. Discrimination at its worst. The staff have zero training and their CSR policy does not exist. The staff were tutting and huffing and puffing whilst attending to my 4 yr old nephews shoes. My nephew has social issues and struggles with new environments, they made him and my sister cry with sheer rudeness. When my sister left she asked my nephew to say thank you to the member of staff. The member of staff said “don’t even bother” I am going to make it my mission to highlight such behaviour. I will also be posting memos to Davenies, Beaconsfield’s Schools, High March, St Mary’s, Thorpe House, Challenors, to avoid this store. Go else where and boycott discrimination. Discrimination has no place in beaconsfield.
I cannot believe how rude one of the staff has been to me. I have spent over £400 there over the past 6 months. More over the past 20 years. I come into the shop I am met with the worst attitude. A very helpful and friendly lady was clearly offered over to help me. Again I just spent £105 on a great pair of shoes. And appreciate her good service. it's a shame but this shop is dead with that attitude, shoes are cheaper on line and teh staff at the 'Princes Risborough' branch have always been wonderful. Spend your money somewhere else if people can't simply be nice to you. Snobs
My wife and I have been shopping for shoes at Wainwrights for over 20 years. Our experience has always been one of good service and value for money in a friendly and cooperative manner. Any problems have invariably been resolved with courtesy and consideration. It would be hard to find a more helpful bunch of cheerful people.
The shop assistants made me feel I was a bad customer. For whatever the reason they must make us feel welcomed. They have failed to do so and made me feel vety unhappy being there.
1 Star is too many! I wish I would have read the reviews online first as I would have avoided this shop at all costs. I took my daughter to get her feet measured in the Beaconsfield branch and was told that she was between sizes and that one foot was much bigger than the other. I was informed to get her a size 6 so that the shoes would fit both feet. I trusted the lady turns out it was the manager and bought two pairs of shoes. I must say at this point the manager was perfectly pleasant. When I got home I put the shoes on my daughter and was shocked to see I could fit 3 fingers between the back of her foot and the back of the shoe!!! This was on both pairs of shoes. My husband returned the shoes later that day and was met by the same manager with an absolute barrage of abuse. She blamed me for buying the shoes and claimed to have advised me that they would be far too big!! Why on EARTH would I buy shoes which are at least 2 sizes too big?! Especially after I specifically visited a shop which would measure my child’s feet and fit her with correctly fitting shoes?! Utter madness! The woman is completely dilusional and seemed to think that harping on about the fact that she has been the manager for some time would excuse her behaviour. Not only that but she commanded another member of staff to issue a refund after much protesting about the fact that they ‘don’t do refunds’ and proceeded to bad mouth me and my husband to other members of staff WHILE MY HUSBAND WAS STILL IN THE SHOP!!! I’m all for supporting small business but I will never ever visit this shop again. Wainwrights - do something about the incompetent manager in your Beaconsfield store before you have no customers left. A star rating of 1.9 says it all really doesn’t it?
