Have had a great experience over the last year. The staff are willing to spend the time to make sure you get the best product for your intended use, which on their advice often turns out to be, a good, different to what you went to buy. I think this leads to some waiting a long time. So a suggestion to Evans, watch the queues and put more staff on to reduce waiting times as and when necessary.

Massive thanks to Andy for helping me today when I had to return a faulty item, restored my faith in bike shops a great deal. Can’t fault the customer service here one bit ! I occasionally buy items from Evans online as they often do great deals but it’s also handy to just go into a shop sometimes. I would highly recommend this shop based on my own experiences. Plenty of parking when i was there. Wasn’t busy.

I have always found the staff friendly but rushed off their feet. However, when I phoned to arrange to test ride 2/3 bikes (having done my research), I was told they only allow you to test ride one bike at a time and I would have to make separate appointments over consecutive days. How does that make sense? I work full time and it is a 1 hour round trip to get to my nearest Evans store (I'd much rather spend that time cycling!). When you are spending more money on a bicycle than some people spend on a car (and I spend longer hours on my bike than I do driving), test riding is essential. Needless to say I am forced to make my purchase elsewhere.

Had a really positive experience buying a bike with help and advice from Chris. His customer service was fantastic, he was attentive to my requirements and budget, and shared a wealth of knowledge that will help me on my way! He never once tried to upsell and was totally open and honest - if you're looking for someone to advise you before making a purchase, I'd highly recommend paying Chris a visit!

Have just been to Evans cycles Gatwick and purchased a scott mountain bike, was served by Dave, who was incredibly helpful and the workshop guys built my bike straight away for me. Could not fault the service at all.
