Great Bike shop. Nice bunch who know their stuff. Had a motor swap out under warranty by Ed and was perfect. Was called when the part was in and recommended to swap a gear cable at the same time as under the motor saving me money later on. 5 star and will use again and again.
Thanks to Keith at the Gatwick branch, I was able to purchase this beauty and I really do appreciate the time that they had taken considering it was a last minute dash from myself to come to the branch they had to build the bike from scratch and I am loving the bike already even though I haven't even had it 24-hours yet . Keith was very knowledgeable along with the rest of the crew there patient and friendly the customer experience for me was excellent will definitely be coming back for my upgrades! Thank You Keith and to the Mechanics that built the bike at such short notice
Special shout out to Daz! Was extremely helpful on 2 separate occasions i.e. Tubeless set-up and a broken wheel spoke repair. I have owned & sold a few bikes now and been using Balfes since they took over from Evans on a number of occasions. Workshop staff are really informative, helpful and give good advice. Have had various types of repairs and service carried out and certainly recommend them if you have a cherished and much loved bike! Have also purchased some bike spares or parts like tyres, mud-guards, chain lube etc. Highly recommended place for your all in one bike go-to place.
I had an amazing experience at Balfe’s Bikes in Gatwick. The staff are really friendly and informative. When I arrived I was taken care of straight away. Dan was excellent, he went through all I needed to know as a new rider and helped me to make informed decisions around my purchase there. Very grateful for the time and expertise given. I was looking to purchase an entry level carbon fibre road bike and given the supply issues with bikes headed to Balfe’s who seem to have the most stock. Andy at the Gatwick store spent time talking through the options for my budget and sizing me up for the frame. In under 2 hours I walked out with a brand new Orro road bike with integrated Shimano cassette plus all the accessories and peripherals needed to get me on the road. Happy with the customer experience and the bike so far
Excellent. Dream team stuff. Both Keith and Daz are first class. I travelled without announcing to the store and within an hour I had my new bike, all built ready to go. Nicely gone guys
Fantastic service from Steve, Edward and Dan. They handled a frame that was faulty and a very complicated warranty repair. They ket me updated on the progress and were always helpful and cheerful. Many thanks for great service!
Dan at Balfe’s Crawley just helped me sort out my DI2 problems with my bike. He did an amazing job and was also very helpful in explaining what he did and how he did it. It was a refreshing change to have someone help you that actually seemed to enjoy doing it. Nice guy and very knowledgeable too. Would definitely ask for him again next time I go in
I recently bought a bike from Balfe's following a friends recommendation. I went into the the store with a rough idea of what I wanted but being new to road biking I was very much a novice. Andy helped me figure out what was needed for my level which was very helpful. He also walked me through the mechanics of the cycle to work scheme which I was grateful for. Overall, great service and great range of products - highly recommend to anyone else.
I’ve been using Balfe’s Gatwick for servicing and advice with my race and project bikes for just over a year and their service has always been great, never steering me wrong and even giving me free guidance and instruction on how to do works myself and then helping me fix things when I go wrong. All of the Balfe’s team are friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable but Ed from the store workshop team has always gone above and beyond to help me. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!
