The Astra we rented was excellent. It had some marks when we picked it up but this was of no concern. In fact, it was the right car for the narrow roads in Cornwall where you frequently have to squeeze gently past oncoming cars. The staff at pick up were very good and the staff at drop off at Birmingham airport were excellent - really friendly and helpful. All round a great experience. This was the third Europcar we hired in Europe on this trip and we had similar positive experiences with the other cars and service at Geneva and Frankfurt Hahn.

Would not recommend at all. Awful customer service. Car had one totally damaged tire and a slight scratch on an alloy before we used it ( tires and allows had not been changed due to damage.) On returning the car the worker extensively searched the car for a long period of time and claimed one alloy was scartched further pointing out the slightest difficult to see mark in which was most likely there prior to our use. Charging £75 for this. It was clear to see looking around the car park that all the cars had scratched alloys much worse than this and none had been changed. This makes me wonder how many people have been charged £75 for an alloy that will not be replaced. 

When telling the man we were in a hurry to catch our flight and had a disabled passenger waiting in the airport he said this was not his problem. When we asked for his name he refused and said he is not obliged to give us this. When we asked to speak to someone else he said it was only him that would be dealing with this.

Opening hours very good, staff more than helpful, in all very good experience!

Quick easy pick up and return but beware if you book on line you might think you've paid for extra driver etc to find you haven't
