Great service and well maintained bikes. With panniers for carrying your belongings provided. Friendly staff, and the Camel trail is a great ride for people of all abilities. It's not particularly cheap, and I would be quite expensive for a whole family, however I think the service and quality is reflected in the price.Make sure you check the weather as the path is very exposed to the wind!!!

This is where u go to hire a bike and to start the 🐫 Trail Cycle route. Better to phone to make reservation for bikes. Even at the latter time of the day we just managed to get bikes that suited our party and headed of the cycle route. All was going well until we went through Wadebridge and 2 miles away from it we got a flat tire. With repairs kits to try and sort it out the puncture , we just couldn't manage as hard as we tried. We rang the company back and they suggested that bike tire could b fixed at Wadebridge. They did offer to collect us but we declined and back tracked to Wadebridge, got tyre replaced and by then decided it was getting late to continue the trail and turned bikes back to base. We were happy with product and service and fully recommend them if you need wheels .Thank you to the guys in attendance. Appreciate ur advice.

We had a puncture half way along the trail from Wadebridge and managed a temporary repair. When we reached the town, the repair failed. One of the guys in the cycle hire place was brilliant in quoting a good price, replacing the inner tube and tyre ( the tyre on the bike had split and worn through). Really helpful and the bike was made safe for our returning cycle ride. Brilliant.

Dangerous bike, appalling service: my wife's bike jammed - the rear gear twisted itself into the spokes, the bike was flipped over, my wife crashed to the ground. Witnessed by the owner of another bike hire shop: Nigel of Bridge Bikes in Wadebridge. I had to push the bike half a mile, with the rear wheel jammed, back to Bridge Bikes in Wadebridge who took it in for return to Padstow Cycle Hire. Should have thrown it in the hedge. Looking at the gears, I found they had not been cleaned in years. There was a layer of gunk 1/4" thick on the lower sprocket; it was probably this that had thrown the chain off the sprocket (under tension from the pedals) then twisted the derailleur mechanism sideways and into the spokes. My wife's knee was badly cut. Phoned Padstow Cycle Hire. They said they wouldn't pick us up and we would have to get a taxi or a bus; they refused to arrange the taxi themselves. I rang 5 taxi firms but none could help (I'll have to join Uber). After waiting 45 mins, we caught a bus. Back at Padstow Cycles, they (1) did not thank me for returning their unridable bike; (2) did not apologise for the appalling state of their bike; (3) did not apologise to my wife or ask how she was; (4) offered to refund her bike hire but NOT mine until I threatened legal action - how would I use my bike if she could hardly walk let alone cycle?; (5) told me that I had signed away all our rights when I hired the bike so I could not accuse them of negligence (which of course is poppycock). If you use this firm, CHECK THEIR BIKES VERY CAREFULLY!

Friendly, patient and extremely helpful staff. Unfortunately got a puncture 3 miles from Padstow but a member of staff rode out with a spare bike and rescue us.
