Worst experience ever!! I was having a replacement vehicle for my mobility car that was in for repair. The replacement was for 3 weeks. I was meant to get a similar car to my BMW X2 and it would be delivered around 2pm. On the day i came downstairs at 11:30am to find the car was left in my drive and keys left in my porch so I didn't speak to anyone or sign anything. The car was filthy and was a people carrier, Galaxy, which is not a comparable replacement for a BMW X2! It had scratches not recorded on documents just left in the porch! I've been hung up on twice by the customer service staff! Now I'm having to get this replaced when it should never have happened like this! Given its thousands to hire I'm amazed this kind of experience can happen! Absolutely never ever ever again!
DON’T GET FOOLED BY ONLINE CHEAP PRICE. When u go there they will make u pay more. Booked a car for three days after getting a good price online. Paid in full and went there to pick up the car. In the reception they did check on my license. The two ladies on the reception had no politeness towards me. Both tried to make me more on my booking offering extras. They tried to charge more on insurance cover too. I felt like these people gonna charge me for worn tyre and wipers as well. I felt going ahead with booking is not safe. In that situation I entered my pin wrong few times. So canceled the booking. Great escape. I understand that lady want me to do that anyway coz they running sort of cars for booking that day so they don’t want to give the car for cheap price.
After waiting in all day for our car, it never arrived.. No phone call or apology from Europcar. The following day the car finally arrived much later than we were told, and with an almost empty fuel tank the fuel light came on immediately on start up.. We returned the car to Vauxhall only to be told Europcar still hadn't collected it.. When they finally got their car back, they took it upon themselves to relieve my Wifes bank account of over £77.. They took pictures of the dash display when they gave us the car which will clearly show the fuel light on and we will be demanding copies of these photos.. Europcar are, at best, nothing short of petty crooks and we have been in touch with Motability with the advice that they cease to use this disgraceful company..
I've give one as can't give 0 this is the worse company I have had this mis fortune in dealing with. Car turn up with dents cracks and even the window buttons broken then after the hire was finished we'll I am on day 5 and it is still parked outside my house. What a load of rubbish.
Avoid at all costs : car delivered with a bald damaged tyre , this is now my responsibility to arrange to have replaced, only after 3 attempts to get it changed, 1st cancelled 2nd wrong tyre sent and on the 3rd attempt after 3-4 weeks …. Dun dun dun . No locking wheel nut in the car . Been waiting 3 days to find out what to do and had no use of the car since beginning of December… still waiting for someone to call . Their call centre is simply awful with rude staff who are not interested. The branch never pick up the phone . Absolutely disgusting service
I have been frequently hiring cars for the last 4 years and this was my worst experience. I normally use another provider but chose to use Europcar this time. I booked my pick up time to 6pm online, from their website. I arrived at the pick up station at 5:55pm but the staff refused to provide me the car telling me that I should have been at least 15 minute early. Now that the pick up station would close at 6pm, the picking up process on the system would happen after 6, and would charge me £60. How on earth was I able to book a car for 6pm, when the place actually closes at 6pm? How does this make sense? They told me to come the next morning to pick the car up, so I missed a day of my holiday. Oh and the plot? They still charged me for that day. I called customer services to complain and they literally made fun of me, saying that "I should follow the pick up station's requests". The person on the phone also randomly asked my full cars details at some point and then when I asked why they need it, they decided they don't need it anymore. Insane! No professionalism and no value for the customer. Please be good to yourself and just use another company...
What an absolute ball ache of a co pnay been waiting a week for a replacement car! To be told of a time they would be bringing a new vehicle, well that never happened wasted a whole day waiting around! Dont give time windows if you cannot adhere to them! May help if you had people to answer the phones! Backwards company
Found the hiring process easy and quick. Pick up and drop off was quick. Great car and absolutely no issues, great service for someone with a busy life
The car was delivered 3 hours late than given time with 3/4 of fuel. I returned it with much more fuel than that yet they charged me for fuel and 3 days since I emailed them about it and haven’t heard back!!!
At my pick up on 25/08/2022 I have particularly asked few times the member of your staff if your Enfield location will be open on 29/08/2022 as it was a Bank holiday in the UK and they assured me that the location for the return will be open and that I will be able to return the vehicle on 29/08/2022 at your Enfield branch, however when I went there on the 29/08/2022 the location was closed, hence I drove to your branch in Enfield for no reason on 29/08/2022. There fore I have contacted customer services and the behaviour of the first agent to whom I spoke was really poor and the she actually hang up the phone on me after saying that I should return the vehicle in any Airport location on the day, however, you did not took responsibility for the mistake made as the location was closed and I had to drive the van to any Airport and then return back to Chingford, London on my own expense even though on my contract was stating that I am returning the vehicle on 29/08/2022 in Enfield which was agreed by yourself. After the conversation with the second agent which took about 40-45 minutes we have agreed to return the vehicle in Stansted Airport London branch on 30/08/2022 at around 03:30am in the morning as I had a flight from there in order to not incur additional cost for return as it this was by your mistake. After I left the vehicle at the agreed location and at the agreed time, I have received and invoice advising that I have driven the vehicle in excess of 4322 miles over the free allowed 1250 miles, which is absolutely impossible and I have contacted the customer services and my experience was really poor. I can not believe a multinational company such as Europecar makes such mistakes and do not take responsibility for those mistakes, I am really disappointed!
