I booked a car online last Monday evening and paid for it for a 4 day rental starting Tuesday morning. When I turned up on Tuesday morning to pick up the car and drive to work, I was told there was no cars available at all in the centre. The lady told me my booking went through online as it had been outside office hours and that she had left me a voice mail that morning to let me know. Unfortunately I didn't get this in time and was left with no vehicle for work and had to get a taxi from the centre. There was no option to upgrade and I felt they did nothing to provide options and didn't offer an apology either. The 1 star is because the lady called a taxi for me so I could to work on time. Won't be renting from Europcar in general again.

I have been renting from here for over a year. I 
am entitled to a valet every 28 days which I never received. I received a fixed price for 28 day period which they tried to increase every period and I had to battle to keep the price the same. I've spent up to £10,000 yet I still received poor customer service. Even after all I spent they tried to swindle me out of money by adding extra charges to my account and deducting money from my account without my permission. The staff were only available when they wanted money but any other time they were unavailable and never answered the phone.  Disgusting customer service. Would not recommend them to anyone. I would give zero stars if I could.

rubbish customer service, insurance company paid for a 7 seater but after a week of not being able to supply one finally got a zafira but was already faulty and hired it to me with no 5 or 6 gear, then tried to tell me it was me not selecting the gears correctly without even inspecting the vehicle or taking it for a test drive, I hold a advanced drivers licence and my job is in training with the traffic police, yet I'm struggling to select a gear. complete waste of time and my insurance company's money, very disappointing.......

I wouldn't recommend renting a car from Europcar Bedford. After hiring from them they have taken money from my account without permission and try to add extra charges onto my rental agreement. The branch is hard to get hold of with the phone ringing out on most occasions. The staff have been unhelpful in resolving the matter. They seem unbothered and pass the blame onto each other. Awful customer service. In the future I will be taking my business elsewhere.
