Great place to get a hair cut, Fred is awesome. I am always warmly welcomed, offered a drink and have a friendly consultation before. All the staff are very helpful and all the hair products used are really nice. You can chat or just quietly have your hair done; the atmosphere is very relaxing. The stylists are knowledgeable and give great advice. There are lots of hair products and GHD stuff available to buy if you like but the staff are never pushy. I really would not get my hair cut anywhere else, cheers!

Great service and staff and very reasonable. I have been coming to Fred for years, he is fabulous! Always knows what I want and makes my haircuts fun and different each time. I wouldn't go anywhere else. :)

Fred and the Essensuals team are awesome! They have real passion & skill & really listen to what you’d like done and make you feel so comfortable, relaxed & welcome. I always leave feeling a million dollars with a massive smile on my face and the exact cut/colour I asked for. Thanks guys!

Been coming here for years and these guys are always really friendly, professional and do a great job with my hair every time. My partner and her mum (who lives out towards High Wycombe!) both come and get there hair cut, coloured and styled with these guys. I’ve had my hair cut by Fred, Flo, Anthony and Sinead and I’ve always been very happy. Great guys and great service!

Siobhan was a really nice young woman, totally understood what I wanted in terms of my hairstyle. However, when she was washing my hair she asked if I wanted conditioner treatment, I assumed it was the usual everyday conditioner so I said yes, at no time was it mentioned that it cost £15. I believe in future that the question about wanting conditioner should be more explicit, ie would you like conditioner, or would you like a specialist conditioner that costs £15. Siobhan did refund me the £15, but only after I mentioned it, someone less confident than I may not have felt comfortable in bringing it up. I find this type of ‘sell’ devious and deceptive, totally wrong, this is why it only got 2 stars.
