I had such a wonderful experience with this Enterprise!! They were so thorough with my reservation and called to confirm in advance and in general their communication was excellent. Jordan also gave me lots of good recs based on where I was traveling. They spent a lot of time helping me and made me feel like a true VIP. Every employee was a true joy to work with. Thank you!

After waiting over 24 hours to be recovered by the AA they finally arranged a hire care with Enterprise. All of the staff were fabulous but Tom especially so. He was polite and courteous and helped with luggage. He was cheerful and chatty on the drive over and explained everything about the car. He is a credit to the company and I would highly recommend this branch for all your car needs in Cumbria. Thank you Tom

Rented a LWB van online upgrade option. On arrival I was originally given a SWB van - until I challenged asked about the LWB upgrade and then a larger van provided. I’d paid the £25 excess and was offered an additional road side assistance for £10 which I declined. Unfortunately, for me this turned out to be a disaster. I drove the van home drove it up my drive and loaded it up in 2.5 hrs. I then drove - very carefully - to Liverpool and returned the van before closing on the same day - 1630. On return the employee spotted a crack in the windscreen on the inside at the very top near the tinted visor area at the top. Which I hadn’t notice until I returned. On inspection on the outside there was a small round dot on the windscreen that the crack led to/from. It went right to the top of the windscreen. Nothing- absolutely nothing - had hit the screen. However, because the condition of the vehicle had changed I was being charged £250 for the damage which would have been £2500 had I not paid the excess but apparently would have been nothing if I’d have paid the extra £10 for roadside assistance- as it included windscreen cover - which I didn’t realise until after I returned the van. The employee consulted with the manager who told him there was nothing that could be done - he didn’t even leave his office to check the damage before he made this decision. I had to ask him to come and check it. The damage was on the top of the LWB van that was not accessible for checking properly due to it being over 7ft in the air. I wasn’t disputing the damage worsening whilst in my possession but I was disputing the fact that the crack happened solely whilst in my possession. A small, unidentifiable chip could  develop into a crack. The attitude of the manager was also very patronising and unhelpful. All he kept saying was he was “I appreciate” - which was so patronising because he was disingenuous and wasn’t even trying to help. I ended up paying £200 for damage that was not caused whilst the vehicle was in my possession. Total rip off from start to finish. Only used this company as the local, more reasonable company - now under practical hire -  who two days prior I’d hired a Luton and did the same move with absolutely no issues had no availability. Never again. So annoyed not just with the whole issue of the damage but the patronising and totally disingenuous attitude of the manager at the Kendal branch.
