What a find! Sadly, today, our car broke down..... luckily our excellent car rescue service (Gem) came to the rescue, sending a local car mechanic to check it out. Great news, he fixed it within 10 minutes and told us the part we would later need to replace - short gear rod. He told us not to worry and said it wouldn't be expensive (phew!) Later that day we had a quote from our usual repair garage and were shocked. Not only would we have to wait a couple of weeks before they could do the work, their quote was above our budget. We phoned Ullswater Road Garage and had a chat with the mechanic who had arrived to fix our car when it broke down. They gave us an estimate and said we could drop the car round anytime. A couple of hours later not only did we have our newly repaired car back at home (with a replaced short gear rod), the price we paid was affordable. Thank you lovely people at Ullswater Road Garage, you have two very happy new customers here!
