Story

The Emma Bridgewater factory lies in the heart of the historic Stoke Potteries, in a sunny Victorian factory on the banks of the Caldon Canal. Join a factory tour, try decorating a piece of unique pottery, relax for lunch in our beautiful cafe, or enjoy an afternoon in the garden behind the factory. We’ve got a gorgeous factory shop, full of your favourite pieces and a lovely gift shop selling our newest designs.
We try to respond to queries and messages as soon as possible but please be aware this page is monitored during weekday opening hours only (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm)

Had an amazing afternoon here this week- we started with the afternoon tea, there was a table reserved and waiting for us- lovely and friendly staff and food tasted great. Then we had our tour- shout out to Lorraine- she was so friendly, funny, relatable and it was really informative. It was so interesting to see how the factory works, hear about its history and to see the amazing decorators in action. Then we went to decorate ourselves- the staff again were so friendly, showed us what to do and it was brilliant to decorate iconic EB pottery with the stamps and colours. We had plenty of time in between each activity to visit the factory shop and the gift shop and we had a BRILLIANT time. Would highly recommend.
Had a really lovely time today on the experience day factory tour, decorating and afternoon tea The day was incredibly well organised and the events well spaced out so you didn't feel rushed at all plus gave us plenty of time for shopping!nnThe tour was great, our tour guide Tom was lovely and it was so nice to see the process, learn some fun facts and be able to go into a working factory. The staff were all very friendly.nnThe painting was fun and relaxing with lots of choices of stencils.nnThe afternoon tea was delicious and really loved that it was seasonal Christmas themed. The portion size was generous and everything was very tasty!nnExcellent value for money, a full day's entertainment. A very special treat, would highly recommend
The products were absolutely adorable!nI couldn’t take my eyes off them!nI was looking for a mug, but they were all so lovely that I couldn’t choose one.nI didn’t realise there was an outlet shop as well. I must have missed it!nI’ll definitely go back to try again!
Thoroughly recommend the experience day. The tour was engaging, the decorating experience good fun and the afternoon tea was plentiful. They only run week days and gets booked up fast so definitely book well in advance. Plenty of car parking onsite and easy to find
Omg this was SO much fun!!! 1.5hrs was not really enough time for everything I wanted to paint! There are sponge stamps you can use or you can freehand. The workshop had a lovely calm atmosphere and everyone was obviously having a good time. Can highly recommend!
