It is a small station but serves a lot of destinations. On cross country: Birmingham new Street and Stansted Airport. East Midlands Trains: Manchester, Sheffield and fast services to Norwich. Great Northern: Kings Lynn, Downham Market, Cambridge and London Kings Cross and greater anglia: Norwich, Peterborough, kings lynn, Norwich, Bury St Edmunds Ipswich and some services to Colchester

I recently changed trains at Ely station and had a problem with luggage i managed to leave on the train- staff were fantastic in retrieving my luggage from Cambrdge station and getting it back to me at Ely- all done with humour, smiles and effeciency!

Not the most modern station , but it still functions perfectly fine.

Perfectly good station but really not the prettiest or nicest to have to wait at! Can in fact be bleak in bad weather. If you have time a brisk walk to the cathedral makes changing trains here worthwhile. If you don't have the time you can get a glimpse of the cathedral from the car park or indeed from the end of platform 2!
