I really like this train station. A slope to go under and up again to platforms. A couple of places to get a drink and snack.Although I was disappointed to discover the one I usually use, only accepts credit cards as mine isn't British it makes my cup of tea very expensive! I will try one of the others next time, hoping one takes cash!
I travelled from Ely to Norwich this morning with a very heavy case and the staff could not have been more helpful . The ticket office staff were lovely and then a young man called Ed took my case to the far platform for me where Ia lady in the office on that platform put the case on the train when it arrived. The ticket collector on the train also offered to take the case off the train for me when we arrived in Norwich - I would like to thank them all.
We had train delays and cancellations today because of collisions near ely. We received outstanding support from Hannah, a dedicated customer service provider at Ely Station. She was kind, patient, and very understanding throughout our interaction. Her professionalism and willingness to assist, especially in arranging a taxi for us, were greatly appreciated and made our journey much easier.nnThank you, Hannah, for your excellent service and support.
Grew up here, this station is lovely. Gained a love for trains here. Also great variety of operators here so you can travel around a lot from here
Perfectly good station but really not the prettiest or nicest to have to wait at! Can in fact be bleak in bad weather. If you have time a brisk walk to the cathedral makes changing trains here worthwhile. If you don't have the time you can get a glimpse of the cathedral from the car park or indeed from the end of platform 2!
