Clean and well kept train station. A help desk is available at the way out in case you are wandering what to do. The station is near local bus stop and an informative sign is posted just outside the station entrance.
It is a good stationnnCovers nicely Norwich or Birmingham New StreetnnI will be backnnThanks
As people exit the railway station, the view is extremely dull, very bizarre for such a world famous university city.nnThe exterior needs trees & seasonal flower baskets/containers to help spruce up the vicinity.nnA little effort along with friendly staff makes a huge impressive difference.
I would say it’s definitely a relatively nice train station, especially the bridge across platforms. Services are very well coordinated, and in case you had a water bottle, there’s refill machines on the first platform that you walk out onto sort of by Platforms 1,2,3,4. Usually taking services to Ely and London and the train services which operate are all very good! Occasionally gets quite busy, but very easy to use and there’s many screens/directions to help if you get a little lost!
I can't blame the station for the bus replacement service, but I certainly can for the complete lack of information. No staff on hand to direct, and confusing signage. Just poor and disrespectful to people already paying full price for a terrible service. At Royston there were three dedicated staff making sure it was clear where we were to go. It helps, Cambridge, how hard can it be?
