Such a beautiful statue. All the history  I'd reccomend getting a tour guide and have them explain some stories for you.

Created in 1982 by Tommy Steele, the statue of Eleanor Rigby commemorates the famous Beatles song by the same name. The statue is a woman sat on a bench, with bag and newspaper beside her. It is life-sized but not so life like.

Popty ping. We came here looking for a geocache, get us wild rock stars. Anyway it's a decent enough lump of metal. See the attached picture of Tim and Doug if you like.

The statue is beautiful..Everyone who passed stopped to look at it.. I took a picture of it..

A fiction piece about a fiction person

Eleanor Rigby is not only a musical masterpiece but yet a call of the modern woman, stressed and pressed, not longed for this world and yet with courage and potential maybe it could all simply disappear, this statue represents them and quite frankly, it represents a lot more.

The statue evokes the song perfectly. One of my favourite beatles songs and one of my favourite Liverpool landmarks.
