Quiet and empty enough to grab a quick photo of and with Eleanor Rigby, especially considering Matthew Street is just round the corner…!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Somber & reflective little sitting spot for 1 person in the middle of hectic Liverpool. Good photo spot, or with a coffee. I kept her company for a moment. I think most people would . .
Yet another iconic statue inspired by the Fab Four, great place to sit and is usually quiet. Can't escape an air of melancholy when sitting next to the seemingly forlorn Eleanor Rigby... It works great as a piece of stand-alone art but as it represents an iconic figure from the Beatles classic, well, this makes it all the more unique.
Iconic place to go. We also took a Viator tour and went to the cemetery and heard the story of the Beatles sitting on the wall and saw the head stones of Eleanor and John MacKenzie
A sad, haunting statue of a near faceless Eleanor Rigby.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
Such a beautiful statue. All the history I'd reccomend getting a tour guide and have them explain some stories for you.
Created in 1982 by Tommy Steele, the statue of Eleanor Rigby commemorates the famous Beatles song by the same name. The statue is a woman sat on a bench, with bag and newspaper beside her. It is life-sized but not so life like.
Recently cleaned up/repaired and is in a quiet enough spot that it's easy to get a good look and a photo. Only really gets busy when a passing walking tour comes around.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Eleanor Rigby is not only a musical masterpiece but yet a call of the modern woman, stressed and pressed, not longed for this world and yet with courage and potential maybe it could all simply disappear, this statue represents them and quite frankly, it represents a lot more.
Popty ping. We came here looking for a geocache, get us wild rock stars. Anyway it's a decent enough lump of metal. See the attached picture of Tim and Doug if you like.
