Got charged £15 to park for 24 minutes. Paid at the machine and checked out as instructed as well. Not sure why I got done for this daily robbery as it appears other people were fine. Lift wasn't working so struggled to walk with a dodgy knee as well. Would avoid.
Great for people who are scared to venture outdoors and used heavily by those very people. But now with teen-agers sitting smoking a spliff in the stairs, well all I can say is it's better to smell of a bit of weed as opposed to being judged by those who I would have thought would be the last people to cast judgement. And are driving licences just being given out in Cereal boxes or what? Some people really cannot drive safely and this is evident by all the dents and damage to so many cars. I think there are a lot of people in the Bensham area of Gateshead who are driving around with a license but never took a test, people passing driving tests for others of the same nationality and visual look. Yes this carpark is where these people park and do not expect anyone to hang around if they mark your vehicle because that's just not going to happen because these people select to avoid and judge you.

Using John Lewis roof carpark on a Sunday was normally £4 fixed all day now its £2.40 per hour, scanned my card as the new machine did not accept coins, parked for just over 3 hours and scanned my card when leaving being charged £6.88 however an additional charge for £17.50 was taken from bank account and a week later has still not been refunded, I have contacted John Lewis and they said nothing to do with them and Newcastle City Council don't answer their phone, just another rip off scheme from the Council as they are banking £2.000 per day gaining interest at our expense before you get your money back, you should be ashamed
Absolutely shocking , I am disabled and have to use a crutch to walk , after 6pm , they close the lifts , and the one in the car park has been broken now for so long , so if you don't get to those lifts in time , there is no way back up unless you walk up . I have to send my partner to the car to pick me up at the bottom, there is never anyone there to help , they have a sign saying the lift is out of order , and to contact them if you need help , but every time we missed the John Lewis lifts at 6pm by a few mins , we tried to find someone and no one is around , no one in Eldon squares knows how to get anyone up there who is disabled apparently either . Shocking !!!
Excellent car park, very central. Clean. A bit tight and quiet expensive. Free from 7pm on weekdays, which is very dissapointing as it use to be from 5pm that's why 3 stars only.
Whenever I have visited this car park throughout the year, this lift has been broken. The staircase smells like a public toilet so it's best to walk up the ramp. Great way to get your steps up and your blood pressure!
Easy access and plenty of space to park ,the ramp is a bit tight but more space on the top
Located near all main shopping areas and points of interest. The Quay side is about a 10 minute walk away.
Couldn't get a Disabled parking bay and the lift was out of order. This was not displayed when we entered the carpark
