Very space efficient, no power at seats, if you can even find a seat. Airport security as very fast for the amount of people flowing through.nnFour stars, one loss for cleanliness and space issues. Odd to make everyone walk through the duty free whisky too.
I’ve flown to Edinburgh Airport about four times now and never had an issue there. Flying from Heathrow to Edinburgh takes about 45 minutes to an hour, but most of the time I’ve flown, I arrived in 45 minutes. The airport isn’t as large as Heathrow but has everything you need. It features duty-free shops and a surprising number of High Street and designer stores.nnEvery time I’ve flown to Edinburgh, I’ve hired a rental car, and the car rental area is less than a 10-minute walk away and very easy to access. Right outside the airport, there’s a tram that goes into the city, which is incredibly handy. All my trips to Edinburgh have been in the winter, and I’ve always loved the clean, cool, crisp air—it feels amazing.nnI’ve flown to Edinburgh twice with British Airways and twice with EasyJet, and I haven’t had any issues with either. Personally, I prefer British Airways. For those wishing to pray Salah, there is a quiet room located between the restaurants. It’s easy to find by following the signs, and it’s conveniently close to the gates. To access it, there’s a buzzer outside—press it, and they’ll give you a code.nnGetting through security is straightforward and far less hectic than Heathrow. Like others have mentioned, you do walk through duty-free, but I found the selection impressive. While I don’t always shop there, I’ve picked up perfumes on every visit at prices less than half of what they are on Amazon. They also have traveller exclusives—on one trip, I got a perfume with a free deodorant as part of a deal. I also like grabbing some Scottish souvenirs for my kids.nnThe only small downside is that there aren’t any halal food options at the airport. Perhaps the demand isn’t high, but it’s something to note. When I was peckish, I settled for the usual pricey WHSmith meal deal.nnOverall, Edinburgh Airport has consistently provided me with a pleasant experience.
The airport is well-planned and one of the best in Scotland. It has all the amenities you need and is well-connected to the city center. There are also plenty of hotels nearby to choose from.
Arrival was okay, very quick.nThe airlink bus going to the city centre is just near the exit. It's not difficult to find.nDeparture was okay.nAt the 2nd floor there are cafe and restaurants to chill if you arrived at the airport early, and if your flight check in is not yet open.nSo far, i did not have bad experienced.nAll is okay, though it is normal that lots of travellers on queue but it's well organised.
Bigger than I thought, it's huge. It worked well as for getting through to plane without much hassle. Security section was both fast and efficient.nBiggest complaint... There is no ordinary public city bus service here, you are forced to take a premium service at around £6 or a tram there for £10. A normal bus fare for the city £2.
