Great little airport with decent staff, good services which is well run. They make the transfer to your plan effortless with passing through security quick, a compact duty free area plus restaurants and a Costa. I wish other airports were so easy, ‼
The airport is quite small, but easy to get through the security check. However did not appreciate the attitude of the lady at the information desk when we went to ask for information on our delayed flight. It seemed she didn't know anything claiming she was the manager on duty 'and kept repeating 'this has not happened before'. Zero star for the attitude dealing with customer service. Hire better trained people.
Aberdeen airport is fantastic for flying out of! I usually hop on a flight back and forth from Aberdeen to London with British Airways and EasyJet.nnThe security folks at Aberdeen airport are super helpful, and they’re always there if I need anything.nnThere aren’t too many shops and cafés, but for the size of the airport, it’s pretty good. The only thing that could be better is the parking, which can be a bit pricey compared to other airports in Scotland.
Terrible airport. Even when you are the only flight in the airport and parked right at the door it still takes 30+ minutes to get your bags out. Completely outdated. Rip off for dropping people off or parking. There really isn’t much positive to say about it. £2 to get out for a cigarette. People who give this airport more than 1 star need to get their heads examined. If I didn’t travel so much for work I would never go near this disaster of a place.
For a small airport, it is well-run and most employees are friendly. The one-world British Air lounge for international Business/first class passengers was a very pleasant surprise even at 5 am. Staff were very hospitable, food was high quality, plentiful, and displayed attractively. Good varity of drinks, wines, and spirits included.
