Good Practice when they are open but I'm considering moving my Dad to another GP as Eastham Group Practice are not open at weekends which is the only time I can get him there without taking half a day off work. Also the online PATCHES system is down at the weekend for this practice so I can't order medication. I don't understand why an online system needs to be down. I suspect other GP's are doing this too which could be the reason why A&E are so busy at weekends.
I have called multiple times since Wednesday to arrange my Pain Management Medication for going away to Tenerife Saturday 2nd May and have my booking Reference/Flight Number to hand and was prepared to provide this in person/via email as I know Medication is Controlled.nnI would be requesting this a Whole 3 Days Early.... With Proof...nnAnd have been told they are Unable to Prescribe these Early due to being Controlled, which is complete Tosh as I've had these done previously months/years back also.nnI wouldn't have minded if it was a large amount or it was unusually early but it was for 2x weeks worth which is my normal amount.nnWas told to call today and speak with Medicines Team which I did at 10am when they become available and they then passed the buck saying I'd need to recall and create a PATCHs Request.....nnSo I then had that created by reception at 10:30am-ish and asked for it to be logged under a different GP as DR Sam Chow had denied it and my rights state I can request a different GP.nit's Ridiculous and otherwise would leave me with no medications throughout the week, which would then render the holiday effectively ruined as my Abdomen is a state following multiple Invasive Surgeries following my Bowel Rupturing...nnWas told time and again and again that Dr Sam Chow would be calling me before the end of the day to discuss and yet here I am at 6:40 with No Phone Call and I knew I wasn't going to get a call back and an Excuse ProvidednnSo now I get to go on Holiday with not enough of my Medication that I NEED TO FUNCTION and will run out Mid-Week.nnI will be moving forward with a Formal Complaint against the Practice as well as one against Dr Sam Chow given how unprofessional and unhelpful he has been over my medication being 3 days early and the many failings of actually calling me back.
I’ve used Eastham Medical Practice for my last two ENG1 medicals and both experiences have been very smooth. Dr Huddlestone, Dr Cooke, the nurses, and the reception staff have always been friendly, professional, and helpful, which has improved my experience overall. I would thoroughly recommend them.
I have literally just spoken to a lady on the phone regarding prescriptions.nI am a new patient at this practice and not yet had the pleasure of meeting the team. The lady I have just spoken to was so helpful and really friendly.nThank you for helping me out with my script but mostly thank you for being so friendly and efficient. You are a credit to the practice.

The support here has been outstanding, and as someone with ADHD, the simplicity and ease of the service has made a massive difference to my life.nThe reception team deserve real credit – they’re efficient, patient, and genuinely helpful. Leanne in particular always goes above and beyond, and the doctors are understanding and accommodating every step of the way.nThank you to everyone at Eastham Group Practice. I hope to stay with you for a very long time. THANK YOU X
