Located within the Van Hage garden centre this miniature railway offers children and grown-ups a fun experience away from the main shopping areas. For the £1.00 per head entrance fee you get to ride on either a steam locomotive or diesel train. Two loops of the layout take you around a small park populated by ornamental forest animals. For tall passengers there is a tunnel to negotiate on the first lap so remember to duck! Manned by a team of enthusiastic volunteers everything runs like clockwork. Highly recommended.

This is a charming little railway with some beautiful steam engines. For £1 per person you get two runs around the circuit, and each run is slightly different so there's a little variety. It won't fill a whole day, but it's a nice way to spend 20 minutes or so with your kids.

Had an amazing morning riding on the railway with my 2 year old. He absolutely loved in and didn't want to leave. Staff were really helpful and enthusiastic! We will be back!
