On this particular occasion, this was way more than a car park - it was the site of a rather special seasonal bonfire, funfair, and firework display.nNever attended this particular event before, but we will be coming back again that's for sure, there was a lot to see and do, no shortage of food & drink outlets plus the funfair rides to enjoy, if that's your thing, culminating in a very fine firework display!!
A hidden gem, which we discovered whilst scouting for Locations. A short distance from the main A35 it provided a nice early morning relaxing pitstop. Huge beach and large car park its ideal for those old fashioned days on the beach with a short trip to pick up an ice cream. There are several Hotels in the immediate vicinity together with a Holiday Park close by. Admittedly we were not there at a peak time so hard to judge what it is like at Peak times.
Was a real pleasure to visit here. Making it up the grassy cliff side to the top was a challenge but great once you get up there brill views. Plenty of places to get fish and chips to
The car park is in a lovely position next to the beach but beware that campervans are not allowed to part here. It does say on the tariff board that motorhomes are not allowed which I missed but even so I would have thought that campervans would be fine. This is just to warn other camper owners that you will get a fine for parking here. Total cost for parking was £6 for four hours and £35 fine. Seems a bit harsh, but I paid as I should have read the sign instead of just using the just park app.
Good spot to park, everithing is so close! Summer time might be difficult to find the place. Not too expensive, can't be accurate but around £4 i've paid on Sat beginning of September from 2 pm till...late eve...
