Visited recently on a warm Saturday afternoon. We ate outside and everyone enjoyed their meals especially me as I had a steak pie which was delicious and huge. In fact I couldn’t manage to eat all of my meal and left some double cooked chips. They serve Peroni, Bier Morreti and Cruzcampo which is another bonus .Food: 5/5
The menu is small but cooked to order, and well cooked too. The portions are value for money. The pub appears to be a family I'm probably wrong but it gives that feeling The serving staff are friendly and relaxed. The interior is very well presented and looked after. It's worth a visit if you're in the areaFood: 4/5
Went here on Boxing day for a family meal Gave this place a wide berth for a while. However, now it has new owners decided to give it a whirl. Service was a little slow, food and drinks were good. The kids meals are probably the best I've seen in a pub. Nice to see the phoenix rise from the flames. Shame it's lost its children's play area at the back. If this had still been here it would have got 5 stars from me.
Really nice Sunday dinner, will be back in the future 100%. Second visit today and tried the carvery, it was very nice and certainly worth a visit if you are in the area. Great pub, with lovely decor and nice staff.Food: 5/5
Only had a shandy, no food. Staff very polite & hard working. Liked how the owners have converted the old cellars in the gents toilet, but kept the old cellars still visible. Cannot comment on the ladies as I forgot to wear a frock..!!!Service: 4/5
Lovely pub, nice and clean. Very welcoming. Outside area to sit front and back. Dog friendly. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent. Unfortunately I cannot give 5 stars for the food. I had trio roast. The vegetables were over cooked. I had trio dessert. chocolate brownie, cheesecake and Eton mess. The eton was was basically a big blob of cream with a few tiny pieces of meringue, no strawberries. The cheesecake didn’t taste anything like cheesecake, more like a mango tart. The food let this pub down
First time in years we've been here perfect food and drink had, will definitely visit again.Food: 5/5
A fabulous pub with food just outside Rotherham, good friendly service, good selection on the menu, though may have liked one or two more vegetarian options, however, I went for the fish/chips and this was really good, well cooked and also fat potato chips that had good taste, all in a all a very good classic pub meal!Food: 5/5
Our initial visit to this place was this Sunday, and it definitely won’t be our last. The Sunday lunch was outstanding. The staff were remarkably friendly, and the place had a charming atmosphere.Food: 5/5
Called in by chance after seeing they were dog friendly after a walk around near by Thrybergh park. Great food with value for money on 2 or 3 course options. Our dog Eric had a lovely little blanket put out with his own bowl of water & a few treats. We will definitely be coming back. Parking: Maybe 10 spots at the front with even more around the back.
