Great atmosphere. Good service and food was delicious. It looks like it had been renovated since we last went. We spent extra money since we went back for more cocktails which were also really nice.Food: 5/5
It's been a lifetime since I was in "mason arm's" the place was packed the staff did a admiral job of keeping the patrons happy.the was a good mixture of ages because I thought I would have been one of few the oldest there.Service: 5/5
Visited many times and usually just had a drink but this time decided to have tea. Ordered the bacon and blue cheese burgers but was disappointed. Barely a hint if blue cheese and the bacon was overdone and miniscule in size. We complained and a very charming young man brought us two tiny pots of blue cheese, nice. We must have been unlucky as the burgers were swimming in grease, mopped it off with a napkin. Think we will stick to just a drink in future and eat elsewhere, after all, not short of choice in Wickersley
Visited for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised. One of us had the beef and Ale pie, it was absolutely huge with loads of Brocolli. It was very tasty and the ale really shone through but there wasn't a great deal of meat and it was fairly fatty meat. The pastry was lovely. It was a proper pie and I woukd try the chicken one next time. The other person had hunters chicken and again a good portion and very high quality. I would go again.
Booked in with friends to watch England vs Serbia and great atmosphere. Loads of screen around the place to watch the game and the table booking meant we had no issues with getting seated plus drinks and food already sorted. Top night, rubbish game thoughFood: 5/5
Lovely to hear a musician singing in the day, he had a great voice. I think something is held on certain days for the OAPs. You can charge your electric vehicle also. The food is quite reasonable.Food: 3/5
I love the atmosphere in here and the design. The food is always nice. They have a pool table. Music is on point .Food: 5/5
Came for tea time meal with our dog, we noticed when eating our meal my dog was holding his paw up.... on looking at the floor it was covered in tiny shards of glass..... to sat the pub promotes " dog friendly " I was extremely upset. I did inform.bar staff and the young girl I spoke was lovely and apologised, I did say I was moving , and could she make sure it was cleaned up before any one else sat in that area with a dog in case the same happened to them... it did take some time and sure enough a family sat down at that table with a dog... I did inform.them.of the glass around the table. I will definitely NOT be going in there with my dog again. Please don't advertise dog friendly when you can't clean glass up off the floor... off to vets tomorrow with probably a large bill because of your negligence.
Just been refurbished Aug 22 and is all the better for it. Inside is bright and a tad different and a pleasant place to be for a drink or meal. Food range and prices are good and it was quite busy when we went so clearly popular. Drink prices are reasonable and good range. Toilets clean and fresh with a new tendy design. Usually only been in the evening but did enjoy our lunch there and would recommend.
Me and my partner wanted to nip in for a drink on 2 occasions recently and the first time we where turned away due to my partner wearing shorts the bouncer said it’s not the fact that you’re wearing shorts it’s those kind of shorts?! Then the second time we wasn’t expecting to visit but again wanted to nip for one drink before going home and was again turned away by the same bouncer as my partner was wearing joggers?! It’s absolutely ridiculous since when was there a dress code for somewhere in Rotherham? It’s funny really because I was wearing gym leggings and a jumper and nothing was said about what I was wearing it’s a toss up between sexism or just a person attack it doesn’t make any sense, it’s alright for me to wear a dress or a jumper but not for my partner to wear shorts or joggers?
