Exceeded expectations! Has had such a amazing revamp doesn’t even feel like the same place! Drinks are cheap as chips and is amazingly clean! Pool table, drinks available on tap including Camden hells, strongbow and fosters. Clean and nice toilets, lots of tvs available to watch from ALL angles, nice beer garden very clean and polite staff members. Very nice pub in London would defo recommend
Came in on Saturday night, to hear they changed they regular djs. Lemme tell you. You can tell they’re trying to save money. The night was no where near as good as it normally is so left early. Bar staff and security were really nice as a positive but that was the only one.
Went here for the first time since 18 months ago and it was a totally different place .it may have had a 're-furb' but it needs much more than that! There was zero atmosphere , about 20 people tops , not even a single person on the dancefloor, aggressive intimidating bar girl towards a customer , manager also shouting her mouth at a customer all just unnecessary.Clearly have some personal issues and extremely unprofessional! In serious need of some anger management and good customer service skills. Ive Never seen anything like it in my life in the space of 2 hours. I also witnessed 2 young women being thrown out on 2 separate occasions just for being drunk and having a good time . One of them with so much force she banged her head off the kirb outside ! These staff are dealing with people in vulnerable states and it's disgraceful. Save yourself the shocking £10 entry and your safety and go into central! I will never ever step foot in the dive again.
Was such a lively good pub to go to after the bars had shut, the djs was always on point, lovely clean bar and amazing bar staff. Such a shame to see it turnt into a karaoke bar as if it was someone’s nans 70th. Will miss going there seeing as they’re taking something amazing and turning it on its head. Many people I spoke to last time I was there felt the same. Such a shame. 2 stars purely just for the bar staff, security and the original djs. Guessing the new management don’t like custom. If it’s not broken why fix it. And imagine blocking myself and the Djs for speaking up. Them finding out their services are no longer needed effective immediately. Would you like to explain to everyone why ?
Since the revamp, the place has a nice feel, clean and well presented. Staff seem friendly and cool when I was last there, good local place for a late night, nice mix of music and ok dance area, but...went to visit again friday 20th just after 2300, and they are charging £10 for entry!!! Not sure what the thinking is behind this, as its a pub in Woolwich!! saved our £40 and headed home. Go before they charge and you should enjoy your night, but not going to recommend paying £10 per person, you should head into Central for that price.
Normally come here every couple of weeks mainly for the music. Dj has been changed as there was someone else. I’ve gone from listening to R&B to listening to miley Cyrus-flowers. Awful! Won’t be returning untill it’s back to original music!
Absolutely shocked that they where charging to get in. £5 entry! Wouldn't mind if it was because there was an amazing band or world renowned DJ hell is even settle for a charity event. Nothing of the sort. When I quizzed the doorman his answers where very sketchy and by all accounts being a regular gets you in for free. Seems that the people running this place are trying to pocket money from people which is wrong. Won't be going there again.
Neat, renovated, pleasant Sound barrier between rear and front bars would be a bonus
Great place to watch live sport in Woolwich. Recently refurbished, but still got character and cheaper than a lot of other nearby pubs.
Friendly staff nice pub however seats need a good clean or replace covers not very inviting to sit on
