"The Anglesea Arms is found on Selwood Terrace in South Kensington, where Charles Dickens once resided at no. 11. The site was originally a market garden and nursery dating back to 1712. A beautiful traditional pub that feels older than it looks with warranted reputation for its excellent food and drinks offering. In 2019 the Anglesea Arms was awarded 1 AA Rosette for culinary excellenceWe are very happy for people to bring in dogs to the pub, but in our restaurant we run on a strict no dog policy. We finally visited this Sunday and had honestly the best meal I’ve had in a pub/restaurant for a while. The vegetables and potatoes were made perfectly, the sauce was flavourful, mash creamy, the meat juicy and perfectly done, I was impressed. The staff is very nice as well and they have a good selection of gins, wines, and other drinks. I will definitely be coming here again.
A great pub serving great Sunday roast & beer! Be sure to make a reservation early to avoid disappointment as they were fully booked by 1pm they open at noon by the way.
Absolutely fantastic. The staff and the service are worthy of a gastronomic restaurant. The food is simply amazing. We have tried most of the veggie / vegan options which are so well prepared. If you are simply up for a drink, this is one of the best places in South Ken, with a great selection of beers and drinks and a chilled and friendly atmosphere.
We had a lovely dinner after a long day exploring. We enjoyed a filet, the halibut and venison. Our only complaint is that some portions of the dishes were salty like the spinach and my sauce. The ambiance was lovely and the flavors were great. Service was great
Can get better burgers from Honest Burgers down the road… only one pickle…really? to top it off it was hard like a stone ! Cocktails are definitely not their forte. Stressed, miserable, rude staff.. perhaps if you employed more staff to cater for your “busy venue” they would have a better attitude!
Fabulous meal at the Anglesea Arms. Service, food and wine were all outstanding. The new fine wine list is well worth asking for, the Langoa Barton 12 is drinking superbly. We'll definitely return soon.Food: 5/5

Nice atmosphere, great food, good beer, and amiable servers. Young fella behind the bar was particularly helpful. I’d recommend the roast duck - very tasty!
Definitely avoid if you have allergies. We attended on the 09/10/22 as a group of 18 for a birthday meal, preordering food in advance and alerting the staff to allergies inc. nut and celiac. On arrival we were given the allergen menu, however, the kitchen refused to guarantee the food on the allergen menu would not contain the specific ingredients, as the restaurant was busy and the kitchen small. Because of this a quarter of our group had to leave and eat somewhere else.
Service was friendly, if a little slow, but the vibe on a lazy Sunday with locals showing up for a roast is hard to beat. Great roasts, scotch eggs and avocado fries ! in a cozy and relaxed environment. The vegan rosy was a highlight!
