I have been to the clinic a handful of times in the past 6 years, mostly for regular check ups, clean and polish and a once to change a filling. A special thanks to Dr Gagan Gill who was very professional, conscientious and patient every single time. Overall, I am very happy with my experience over there.
Dreadful customer service. They closed the practice for the day and never called to inform me. 24 hours AFTER my appointment, they finally rang me. No apology. They simply said they had to reschedule. They have a tendency to cancel appointments on the day, though. Dentists are either "ill" or "on holiday", and so they give you another appointment 3 months later. My dentist keeps changing not a good sign! and the new one does not communicate at all. You are left in the dark!
Ridiculous service. I booked an appointment two weeks ago and I redivided a text today that my appointment was canceled. When I call back to reschedule they told me that they don’t have available appointment and I have to call back and reschedule next week with potential appointment to be in August with no guarantees. I am in pain for two weeks and they told me that my case is not so important to be seen from a doctor. I believe you want me to have a more severe damage to my teeth so I have to pay you more money so you can treat me ?? That’s sounds ridiculous. Now I have to spend money to travel abroad so I can be treated from a doctor. Welcome to the UK’s health system. I am not coming back.
Was at the dentist hospital yesterday got told that I was to get a emergency appointment with my dentist this dentist to get a tooth out as it’s stopping me from swallowing properly and my cheek is like a balloon so phoned up yesterday got told to phone in the morning at 8am so I did today and they told me I have to wait until next week as my dentist is on holiday what a joke hospital was busy and told me this tooth needs to be out ASAP so but they told me that they could give me tablets but I got tablets and they aren’t helping and this dentist was just gonna give me the same tablets that I already have so they told me they couldn’t do nothing till next week so what dentist is this if they only have one dentist that take teeth out what a joke
The team will judge if you can pay for additional treatment if you are or not a NHS patient, without letting you know. Will not discuss your case or severity of it even though you have been their patient for more than 5 years. Will not tell you if you urgently need further treatment or check up, or give you options. Will only do whatever is on the book and not discuss or inform or anything else. Makes the phrase of "getting a second opinion" ever more relevant. Don't go there
Very satisfied with the service. My teeth appeared to be quite sensitive lately, so I've been to a different dental practice that I was registered with a couple of times -but no result. Dr Stylianos Gkinalas was excellent and professional. He spent the amount of time needed to check my teeth thoroughly still fast but no rush!. I eventually got the right treatment from the very first appointment and I got person-centered details and tips on how to take care of my teeth and be proactive. Also, the lady at the reception desk was friendly, polite and helpful. P.S. No waiting time. I d highly recommend this dental practice and I ll definitely return.
I would like to share my recent experiences at this dental practice with Dr. Katie Rogers. I had a root canal done in the past develop infection and cause swelling in the gum so got examined by Dr. Rogers. She took the x-ray and put on strong doses on antibiotics for 10 days followed by which recently she tried to extract the affected tooth however even after double anaesthetic I could still feel the pain and she stopped the procedure. Gave me more antibiotics for another 5 days and booked me an appointment a week later with a new dentist to complete the tooth extraction. Now, I am back at home taking antibiotics and painkillers and a loose tooth which hurts since she tried to pull it out however didn't as described previously. Overall it was a traumatic experience. Throughout the visits and treatment she has come across as quite cold and unsympathetic in nature. Even after I told her that I am nervous and feeling anxious prior to the extraction procedure she said / did nothing to calm me down. Everytime I had to tease out information from her when I believe it is a doctor's foremost responsibility to calm their patient down and explain to them about the state of the infection and procedure which I shouldn't have my doctor to tell me in the first place. I'd not recommend Dr. Katie Rogers. Dr. Gagan Gill is another dentist at the same practice and she is much better in every way. I'd totally recommend her. I have received first class treatment from her in the past. Unfortunately she is on leave at the moment recuperating after she had a surgery and I had no choice but to seek treatment from Dr. Rogers. Anyway, my next appointment is next week with the new dentist Dr. Ana Ferer and I put my trust on her that she will assess and understand the state of my tooth better and hopefully extract it successfully. Hopefully she doesn't leave me hanging and with a traumatic experience of incomplete tooth extraction like Dr. Rogers done to me yesterday. Thanks.
Finally got the tooth taken out yesterday after almost 2 months of back and forth and loads of antibiotics! Dr. Gagan Gill was amazing and she kept me calm throughout the procedure. Didn't feel any pain during the procedure. Dr. Gill had to take it slow since the tooth could have fractured as it had a root canal and really long roots. However came out in one piece. I even got to bring it back with me.
Just got a reminder for a check up from Earl Grey Dental Practice. Would definitely go again as the service that I received from Dr Stylianos Gkinalas was extremely satisfying and professional. The treatment and information that I received was of high quality and the doctor was making me feel very relaxed and comfortable. I remember that I felt really satisfied and relieved when I left as the visit to a dentist was for once something pleasant :
Annoying reminders which then don't let you book online. This is a massive pain and a poor user experience.
