Good place to get your car fixed. Just ask for Dan the site manager. *Update April 2018 - Dan no longer works here. Ask for Lucy if you need someone to deal with directly. *UPDATE JANUARY 2019 - I had another repair on my car yes I came back cos they are good and I had the pleasure of dealing with Alex one of the estimators, Joe the lady working at the front desk and Scott the general manager. They did a super duper job on my car and even went the extra mile by painting the bonnet that had a big chip on it woah....as in WOAH. So, collected my car today it was better than how it came it and was well looked after and I'm a happy bunny hopefully I don't get into a crash to make me come back.
Insurance approved repairer but very bad finish. Had to send vehicle back after repair which was on hold for weeks and then rushed when they realised the repair had been approved weeks earlier. When vehicle returned fir them to rectify faults with repair the repair was still not done correctly as confirmed by independent assessor sent by insurance company. In the end insurance company carried out internal review and apologised for the service received and offered compensation for inconvenience caused. I would never use this company again and would prefer to give no stars or minus stars if possible.
I have no idea why these bad reviews even exist. They made me very wary and anxious about my car being repaired here. But.....the service has been excellent from start to finish. Work carried out on my 2019!! car has been great there was a lot, fast and the communication with Lacey and the guys was fantastic. Very fast and good service. Would definitely recommend. Thank you
My partner got car back after waiting 8 WEEKS. Only for the bonnet not to be put back straight. Was told wasn't going to get back for another week so filled up with petrol. They then came next day to take care and did not reimburse her. The drivers have demanded money if they deem the rental car not clean enough even though it was cleaned and hour before. Do not use avoid like the plague.
The repair to my car was extremely well done it looked brand new as if nothing happened. I picked it up and I was on my way no fuss, they had no delivery slots but welcomed me to collect it when I asked if I could. The only let down was that after a week or so I had heard nothing from them and only after I called did they begin work on my car. They need more people on the phones as I went to the site and only saw one or two, so it’s no wonder the phone takes quite a while to answer sometimes. For the amount of work I saw they had to do in the car lot I’m surprised my car did not take even longer as they had over 200 cars easily on site. Well done and thanks for all the help along the way just work on the communication with people more and it would of been 5/5 for sure. People have given a bad reputation for this place but they get the job done.
The worst garage ever, Avoid at ALL Costs. DWS Essex and Canterbury should not be trading. Very very poor quality workmanship. My car was a couple of years old when DWS had several attempts to repair my car. The Paint flaked off rear bumper for the second time, Not all the fixing on rear bumper was fitted back. Rear Parking sensors not working, Door trim not fitted correctly. My car was damaged on drivers door and front suspension/Alloy wheel damage when returned. My car was reported speeding down the A2 near Gravesend towards Canterbury when it was spotted and followed, there was a young lad driving it. N/S/F alloy damaged and bent shock, tracking out. Dan at DWS fobbed me off I had to pay for the damage myself.
Quick to collect and repair our car, retuning it clean and in pristine condition. Thanks DWS. Very polite and friendly receptionist. Now twice a satisfied customer. I'd have no hesitation in recommending DWS for bodywork repairs.
Had an accident in my car and my insurance company took my car to DWS thurrock. Communication with this company is awful! I could not even reach them by email due to the wrong email address being posted online and the email bouncing back to me as failed. I had to get my insurance company to contact them on my behalf. When DWS finally did contact me which was 3 days after them already having my car I asked for a courtesy car which they should have automatically offered me. They offered me manual when my car is automatic. After contacting my insurance and informing them of this DWS contacted me then offering me a automatic. Great I thought. The car that they gave me already looked like it had been in an accident. The car was filthy inside and out. It needed a good hoover and wipe down. They had the cheek to tell me not to smoke in the car and had it been smoked in? yes and I am not a smoker so could immediately tell. Also there was a pair of shoes left in the back of the car. Whose shoes they were in the car I dont know but it would not surprise me if they gave me an employees car. My mistake was not looking in the car before before taking it. Coincidentally my car was then broken into a week after of recieving my car back from the garage. My insurance wanted to take my car back to DWS but I refused. Someone would have to run me over with my car before they take it back there. The only good thing that I can say about DWS is that they deliever your car back to you. Reason why I have given 2 stars and not 1.
Absolutely shocking! they have no idea of what customer service is and defiantly do not know how to run a business. I rang up to see what the progress was on my car and stated that I needed an automatic car as I have an automatic licence.. was told that was fine. have my car dropped off its a manual... no communication at all. bunch of cowboys. avoid at all costs!!!
