Just want to say since the relatively new lifeguard who has joined  recently changed her hair colour I’m so sorry I didn’t grab her name, thinking it might of been Missy/Maisy she has restored my faith in this centre. I have took my non verbal son to sensory classes on a Wednesday for some time in the little pool and at times it was a challenge he now gets excited to come to the session which previously was met with bad attitude he is now greeted with positivity! Staff make all the difference

Great value, well worth the money.nLots of classes to choose from, with friendly and knowledgeable instructors who were happy to help with suggestions for injury recovery in addition to teaching their classes. Staff all throughout the gym are helpful and friendly.nClean and well equipped.

I had a very disappointing experience with a staff member named Lorraine at Better Gym.nnI am new to this gym, and this was only my 5th or 6th session. I did not have the app to access the gym, but I provided my ID number instead. Lorraine told me she would give me a card, and I honestly explained that I had one before but lost it. At that point, her attitude changed — she became upset and started speaking to me in a rude and disrespectful way, even raising her voice.nnShe told me that she would not give me another card and that I would have to pay £1 every time. The issue is not about the £1 or the app — it’s about how customers are treated. She was not patient and did not take the time to explain things properly.nnWhile I was still trying to speak and understand the situation, she walked away and left the conversation, which made me feel ignored and disrespected.nnShe eventually called the manager, and I was allowed to enter the gym. However, the manager was also not apologetic and did not address the situation properly, which made me feel even more upset.nnAfter a long day, I just wanted to train, but instead I had to deal with unnecessary stress. I hope the management can address this issue and improve customer service, especially in terms of communication and respect.

Mortified with my experience with Mel the manager. Left feeling totally embarrassed. Assuming me and my partner were in the same cubicle just because we are a younger couple is discrimination! Not only that but the way she spoke to us was ridiculous.Talking down on us merely because we’re young individuals and she thought her assumption was right. All it would’ve taken was to wait outside our cubicles to watch us leave separate cubicles or to simply look at how many feet were in each cubicle!

I regularly attend and enjoy the women-only sessions, but today I was very disappointed by the lack of clarity around their rules.nnI was told my 25-month-old nephew could not enter because he is a boy, despite the website stating that babies under 3 years old are allowed in any session. The manager explained that any child over 1 year old is considered a child not a baby, which directly contradicts the information online.nnThis is especially confusing given that adult male lifeguards are present during women-only sessions and clean the changing areas while women are showering. I fully respect the purpose of women-only sessions, but refusing entry to a 2-year-old baby while adult men are allowed is inconsistent.nnClearer and more accurate communication of their policies is needed.
