Lovely hotel steeped in history! The bedrooms have been brought up to date without compromising the original decor. The spa ticks all the boxes if that's your thing and the food is a good standard! The staff are very friendly and also very accommodating. Will definitely be visiting again 😁

The venue is stunning and the staff were warm and friendly. The rooms were large and beautiful with comfortable furniture and quality bathrooms with two sinks, a bath, bidet and great shower The food served was divine if expensive. The only real downside was the long wait for rooms to be made up, leaving a few us out of our rooms for longer than ideal and rushing to be ready for the wedding later.

Down Hall Country House Hotel is set in beautiful surroundings and the hotel is impressive as you drive up to it. I thought that the Staff, especially the reception staff and bar staff were helpful and efficient. I found my room to be clean and the bed comfortable. The room itself was impressive with its high ceilings and sash windows. If I have a complaint it would be about the restaurant. Although the food was good it was overpriced, drinks especially. Still would recommend this hotel though.

Great hotel, location and value for money. One complaint rooms were too hot and as there is no aircon in the Gallery rooms I was hoping we had a fan in the room. This was not the case.

Afternoon tea... Delicious! Vegetarian option was wonderful, very tasty. Staff amazing, helpful and attentive. Will be back.
