Manor of Groves Hotel, Golf & Country Club is set in 150 acres of beautiful rolling Hertfordshire countryside, yet is only 10 miles from Stansted Airport.

Story

The main house is linked to the modern part of the building by an eye-catching glass atrium, which accommodates a Parisian influenced Brasserie, lounge and bar area.

Our 80 well appointed bedrooms feature satellite television, direct dial telephone, broadband internet access, hairdryer, marble bathroom and complimentary refreshments.

The Hotel incorporates a State of the Art 3000sq ft Health, Beauty and Fitness Centre, with a 20-metre pool, spa, Technogym, studio, Thalgo treatment suite and free parking.

Extensive Conference & Banqueting facilities are offered for up to 500 delegates providing the perfect venue for conferences, seminars and launches.

My daughter crashed her car here last weekend whilst trying to exit the car park. The photographs i have added clearly prove that the hotel is at fault here by having a unkempt hedge bordering the exit point which is on a bend in the drive. Your car has to be half way out of the car park exit before you can see if there is anything coming up the drive way by which time it's to late. The hotel have several options to improve safety at this point but clearly are not interested in customer safety. Option one would be to chop the hedge to a safe height, option two would be to fit a mirror on the opposite side of the road to assist visibility and option three would be to make that exit a entry point only eradicating problems altogether. For a hotel to demonstrate such contempt for customer safety before you even walk through the door is in my opinion extremely poor, fortunately there were no injuries sustained only the inconvenience of car repairs and no claims bonus being lost. Manor of groves you should be ashamed.

Went here for a Stag golf event with some fellow golfers. After a small issue checking in, the weekend was great. Beautiful course. Good food and hotel nice. Drinks are way over priced.. Bishops Stortford 10 mins in taxi

Venue is superb for a wedding. The main hall and facilities are great but some of the rooms are quite old, we unfortunately had to stay in one of the older rooms and the creaking from movement in the room above was incredibly loud even to the point of stopping us from sleeping. Discussed this on checking out of the hotel and was provided with an apology. Left name, email address and phone number. Shall see if they contact us to apologise.

Lovely staff and great venue but rooms need updating. Couldn't use the pool as a children's class was taken place. Jacuzzi was out of order. I wouldn't stay here again.
