We stayed here for three nights with our puppy and loved it. The hotel was lovely, the room was VERY spacious and clean. The mattress was so comfy and the owner was lovely. We never managed to make it to breakfast as we were visiting family but will try next time we are up. We will definitely be staying here every time we visit my family.

Great place to stay before starting the Hadrian’s Wall walk. Very clean and comfy rooms, outstanding freshly cooked breakfast and very friendly hosts who are happy to chat and give local advice!

Stayed with 2 mates in a family room as we were seeing a band in Newcastle . Very warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere and comfortable beds. Freshly cooked full English and a great selection of continental available too. Great value for money . 3 happy chaps .

Great stay at the Dorset Arms, looked after from the minute i walked in. Great run hotel

We stayed here to walk Hadrians wall . Wish we had stayed else where any got metro to the walls end .nnThe guy running it was very friendly and nice however…nnMade a big point of charging us for dogs £12 each due to cleaning . But when we went to our room the cleanliness was very poor , the carpet was old and dirty , clearly not seen a hoover for a long time . The room was very smelly and had to open windows to air out. The outside of the property, hotel car park and garden , was very untidy and rubbish everywhere .nnThe full English in the morning wasn’t hot , consisted of, one sausage , one slice of bacon , one spoon full of beans , one egg , one hash brown .
