Stan was amazing, so helpful and welcoming. Really great breakfast and he had actually offered to pick me up from the metro if I let him know when I came in but I decided to walk, it’s around 17 minute walk from the metres in Wallsend to the Dorset Arms. I was staying as I walk starting my walk to bowness the next day and as a solo female traveller it was a lovely place to stay although I might have taken Stan up on his lift offer from the station : my room was in the ground food and the bed was very comfy, these is some noise from other people in ten hotel but it’s really good value for money. breakfast was great and Stan’s mum was wonderful too. Thank you

This was such a homely and relaxing stay with the family.nStan made us feel at home and went over and above with his service.nBeds were super comfy too. Would definitely recommend and would re-visit.nThanks for such a pleasant stay, worth every penny and more.

Greetings, I used to live in Dorset Avenue when it was first built. I remember the Hotel being built from its foundations. Early fiftiesnI am planning to visit Wallsend and link up with any old patrons of the Dorset Arms and residents in the street.nWe were an amazing strong knit community back then and used to help each other in a way you don't see happen much now.nIf anyone can contact me I used to live at 39.nMy neighbours were the Fatkin and the Cormie family.nWarmest regardsnPaul Bennett

Amazing welcome and friendly on arrival. Parking available. Feel safe.The rooms are very good with good facilities. Good size beds and tv. Breakfast is amazing with a choice of continental and a full English breakfast. If you didn't want a full English then Stan was more than welcome to make scrambled eggs ect. If you wanted a takeaway in the evening Stan was accommodating to supply plates ect. I would highly recommend this hotel. Close to Wallsend and Newcastle city

Spectacular hotel in the nice area of Wallsend within local reach of shops. Nice and spacious family room, very immaculate and organised.nThe host Stan was incredibly welcoming and made you feel right at home.nI would highly recommend Dorset Arms, it is Ideal for a stay in Newcastle.
