They cancelled my initial appointment and booked for another day. When I turned up they were already running late first thing in the morning. I paid for private check, had to forward my images onto another consultant - I’ve been told they’d be emailed, then told on the phone the images are too big for email, then asked to email proof of ID, then still waiting for the images. Pay them money they’ll take it but service is not great from the beginning
This Lancashire firm have the contract for arranging NHS scans in Lincoln where I live. I was referred by my GP in July and now it's December. They usually leave a message to tell me the appointment I knew nothing about has been cancelled but they have arranged another one - in some distant town - for the next day. When I ring back they say I was booked for the wrong sort of scan again but assure me they'll sort it out and I won't go to the back of the queue again. I never hear from them until 6-8 weeks later and then the same thing happens, a message left to say the appointment I knew nothing about has been cancelled etc etc.. I don't think I will ever get the scan. There seems no way to sort it now. UPDATE: A further phonecall and they manage to book me a short notice slot and it goes ahead without a glitch.

Have been referred by hospital for a bone density scan ... Have been trying to contact them for more than 2 days about appointment they have sent through... Not acceptable.... Have emailed .. wonder how long or if they will reply to that!
Worst service I've ever used, I got my appointment when I called up which I was happy with, then I recieved a voicemail the next morning about a cancellation, when I tried to call back no one was answering, once someone did, the appointment was taken, then I recieved another text message the following day, to call in relation to a cancellation, and again no answer after trying serval times, finally I got through and was told it was taken, I advised the lady to keep my original appointment, I didn't need to be seen earlier, I thought this would stop the messages, as she advised she put a note on my file, but guess what.... today I recieved another text message saying my appointment date but a different time to my original slot, and to call to confirm, so I've called and called and no answer, so how am I meant to confirm? Each time I have called I have had to go through to the "the switch board" as the department I'm meant to call don't answer they've only ever answered once, the voicemail box is full so unless you speak to someone you have no hope. Time consuming trying to get through, if I had a choice I would not use this service, unorganised and useless.
Very poor service on a general health check. Waited a long time on arrival and a further half an hour was wasted because staff couldn't operate the running machine for the ECG. Samples had to be re-submitted because they failed to label them. Results took months to arrive literally, months with little explanation of what any readings were. No offer of video consultation to go through results. Will not be returning.
Praise for the practice manager who turned a negative situation into a positive one. Many thanks for your help.
