Went on Good Friday afternoon only to find car park locked.

Lots of good walks with majority wheelchair and buggy friendly with more paths being upgraded all the time,
 Summer is great for wildlife in the fields, along the trees and around the pond and stream,
Could do with sign posts for directions when the paths split and a few more rubbish bins and a toilet wouldn't go a miss either?

Considering its origins as a landfill site they have done a great job of creating this vast outside space. However it feels as though they have used all of the original investment to make it happen but haven't considered things like maintenance. Parts of it already look a little worse for wear. 

On the occasions I've visited the handy car park has been closed despite it being a reasonable hour. I think they have had gypsy issues in the past but it seems crazy to force visitors onto adjoining roads and annoying residents. 

The highlight for me is the Spen Valley Greenway which is a safe traffic free place to cycle & walk. It's also lined with interesting art. 

In summary it has potential but it needs the resources to unlock this after solid foundations have been laid already.

I enjoyed my walk but it needs litter bins on the route for the rubbish people throw and might encourage people to pick up their dog mess
