Went on Good Friday afternoon only to find car park locked.
A pleasant park but with a few faults. The park has a good childrens area and a keep fit garden. The paths are generally in good order and wheelchairs/prams can be used easily. The grass verges are badly maintained and muddy and the borders have only dull shrubs and bushes with no flowers or interesting plants. Also the lake is filthy and the area around it has a plague of rats that can be seen at dusk and into the night. No public toilets available.

Great little park, next door to the Dewsbury crematorium. It is also about a 5 min walk from the local cemetery. The park itself is a great little spot to hang out with the kids in. Has a great little play area with swings /merry go round and a slide! Also they have a basketball court which is caged (perfect for those of us who are not great at keeping the ball in) pro tip can also play football in here! They also have lights in the evening for those days when it gets dark early ! There are also 4 hard court tennis courts here !( Also caged 😉 ) though only two of these have a proper net ! The other two have a metal nets (these are terrible !) Which are so bad !!! A ball literally touches it and it will go flying up ! There's also a great little museum with a lovely cafe inside (perfect for ice cream and cream teas on a Sunday afternoon). These are next to a pond and a lovely well tended garden! The garden is well worth a visit , I think that's my favourite spot in the whole place

This place is a hidden gem, it has an outdoor play area for the kids plus outdoor gym equipment for the adults, there are tennis and basketball courts, a garden to walk around, an adventure playground ( for over 8's), a toy museum, picnic area, rugby pitch, and a shop that serves wonderful ice creams. We all love visiting this place. It's also a great place for dog walkers.
