Not only can you find Christian books, but they also sell music cd's, video's etc. Stationary, ornaments and other Christian memorabilia. After browsing through the two floors of the shop you can step into a spacious cafe with pleasant decor. the Food is excellent and you have plenty of choice. There is also a pleasant garden that you can sit in at the back of the shop
It is a lovely cafe experience, situated opposite the Cathedral. Menu is limited but this is outweighed by fresh ingredients. Baked potatoes are the nicest in Derby due to them being oven baked and not mushy as you get with microwaved spuds, nice and crisp skins. Books on offer mostly have a Christian theme but there are other topics covered as well. Very good coffee. Enjoy. M
Place to eat before meeting of Dandelions in downstairs room.Food is generally nice but a bit limited choice though alway fresh.Rather expensive compared with other local cafes. Have revisited this cafe on 28 May 2019 short time after it received a complete revamp. The bookshop is gone and the cafe extended. Service was appallingly slow. Waited 30mins for toasted sandwich,food was poor and expensive - £8.10 for toasted cheese and onion sandwich and coffee.!! Cheese was tasteless onions were very chunky served with a few green leaves and coleslaw and burnt crisps. Tables were not cleared or wiped clean. Old staff gone and two very young ladies doing most tasks at a leisurely pace. Some items on the menu were unavailable. Need to improve- won't be returning !!
Cafe looked lovely, tables very spaced out. I needed 13 gifts for a Church school Year 6 and was disappointed with the limited range of children's products available. I found some attractive Scripture posters though, rescued!
We love this cafe and bookshop, the scones are fantastic with jam and cream, I don’t think we’ve ever left the bookshop empty handed either!! Haha
Bookshop assistant not very helpful. Shame because the cafe was amazing. Fantastic service and lovely cakes and drinks!! Well worth a visit
We enjoyed a cup of tea and a hot chocolate. Food looks good but have booked elsewhere for today.
