Brilliant dining experience in a very authentic decorated Indian restaurant. I would highly recommend here as the food as exceptionally well cooked and very healthily sized portion sizes. Always feel totally full when leaving and never had a bad word to say about here. Totally worth its 5 star review as all the staff are also so friendly and welcoming.
Delhi Darbar is a family favourite and loved by the local community for a reason, it’s a great restaurant with amazing food at outstanding value! This restaurant have been going for years and they never fail to make delicious food. I absolutely love their South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken if you like a bit of spice! and their butter chicken is so flavourful and gingery not creamy and mild at all. There’s lots of options so there’s something for everyone’s taste. In addition, the staff are very accommodating and so attentive. They are always cracking jokes and having banter with the customers. The only negative is it is quite dated inside and probably could be doing with a bit of a refresh, but besides that I can’t fault it. Give it a go if you haven’t already, but make sure you book if at the weekend or special holidays especially as it’s always packed!
I was really disappointed in the food today as I was really praising the place to my visitors from Ireland. Ordered a tikka masala which looked like a korma and wasn’t very pleasant at all. Garlic bread was dry not a hint of garlic and my brothers meal wasn’t great. Last time I was here food was fab what’s happened!
Came to this beautiful place due to its amazing reviews and it did not disappoint at all! Service was fantastic, so attentive & you really couldn't ask for more, such lovely people. The food was amazing, I'm a vegan and there was plenty of choices! I had the onion bhajias to start and a Cauliflower & Potato curry with rice and a vegan bread the best Indian food i've had! Thank you so much! definitely reccomend.
Best place. Hands down. I have been going here since I was a child. You might need a touch to read the menu though. Vegetarian options: You can just ask them to make it without meat they will do it.
Been going here for more than 30 yrs it's amazing but the last 2 times iv been its not the same and iv had stomach problems.they need to get a grip on the cooks
Phoned a booked a table for birthday at 7.30pm, when we arrived was told to wait in corner of restaurant ,we stood , no seats ,for 55 minutes and only got table because we complained heavily about situation and were treated badly with no apology. The service was disgraceful
Just back and to say the least , disappointed , the starters were ok but have changed scince my last visit , we were asked to change tables half way through our meal clearly to accomodate a well known large family ,not too pleased about that, ,my curry eventually arrived and by this time the rest of the family were half way through their meal ,i had to ask where my special rice was and again when it arrived my curry and nan breads were no longer hot and can i just say the quality of the curries has went rown scince my last visit , will i be back ?
Food, service, and atmosphere are 5* been here more than a few times now and iv always had the nicest food, staff are very friendly and helpful, best Indian restaurant around by far.Food: 5/5
Was recommended to try this place by a couple of colleagues. Incredible value, set meal for 2 from £25. Nice food and generous portions. No wonder it was busy on a wet Monday night.Food: 4/5
